ok so obvi this post has spoilers for both The Hollow and TADC, so you should totally watch those first (especially the hollow)

now it’s possible that tadc is heavily based off the hollow or it’s just a coincidence but I’m gonna go over how insanely similar the both series are. So dont scalp me being like “nooo Goose didn’t rip it off” please and thanks.

ok so The Hollow has six amnesiac teens who only know their names. Tadc also has six characters but their amnesia is reversed- they remember mist of their life events but just cant remember their name. Also in both series a character just straight up dies. Skeet gets squished by a snail, and Jax abstracts.

also Cain from tadc is just like Gustaf/Weirdy from The Hollow. Two extremely theatrical and cartoony physic-having beings that open up portal and send the characters on adventures- and obviously know way more than our amnesiac cast. Only difference is that Cain is AI and Weirdy is just the Show Host of The Hollow gaming events.

another thing, both tadc and the hollow start because our characters put on some headset and get stuck in this digital world. The digital circus cast know this while the hollow kids dont realize they’re in a game until season two. ANd AND near the end, both series have the digital worlds start to fall apart, just in different ways.

in season two of The Hollow, the kids realize they’re clones- brainscans of their real self and stuck forever in their digital lives trying their best to live normally- all because the hillow was doing shady shit. tadc ends with the characters figuring out they are clones and brainscans of their real self and have to try and live their digital lives normally- all because C&A were doing shady shit. So it’s identical in that regard- the tadc cast just get to google search their real selves while the hollow kids dont.

also the hollow came out earlier than tadc did, so thats why i say the tadc ripped off the hollow and not the other way around. Tadc has aspects that aren’t directly from the hollow, but both series are extremely similar in a way thats hard to deny. Hell- they both even have an episode where the adventure is them trying to get back to real life and figure out their origin just for it to be another useless digital adventure that has the truth sown in despite the illusion of escape staying elusive.

so spoilers ig, but since the TADC last act ending is so similar to the Hollow- i thought, what if The Hollow also had abstraction going on..?

So like- The Hollow but it’s not a video game, yet Vanessa is so delusional that she believes it is a game, and tries to eliminate Kai- who’s fire powers are weakened by the snow, so they can’t break their fall unlike they do in the actual episode. The sound of snapping bones, snaps Vanessa back to reality.

So while watching the hollow i of course notice something about Reeve’s design compared to everyone else. In the show, every- or just about every Female character has a highlight in their eye, while none of the male characters consistently have a highlight in their eye design- except for Reeve.

I am Lithromantic which is an aroace spec orientation. Basically i do get crushes on people but once they confess or start liking me back, all my romantic feelings for them vanish instantly. So that really sucks because despite being unable to love someone in the average way, i would like to have a romantic relationship. Which I guess would also make me Cupioromantic? And on top of that, id be panromantic because I could not care less about the sex or gender of anyone i crush on. It doesn’t matter to me. AND (lots of ands in this) if i were not shakled by lithromantism or whatever, I wouldn’t have a preference over being in a monogamous or polyamorous relationship, which means i got Ambiamory.So I have four romantic orientations, gotta collect em all. I am aegosexual as well, yippee. And I am a transgender man who uses He-It pronouns.

The real Hollow Players in the future, and their forever-kid clones- meet in Hollow Life Due to some kind of shenanigans, I’m sure.

In The Hollow the characters guess that their weird world is a result of being dead or parallel universes and being in a game- But if I were them i think my first conclusion would be Nuclear apocalypse, yet somehow none of the other characters mention possibly being the sole survivors of any kind of disaster??

So first off, the whole waking up in a BUNKER. would tip me off- what are bunkers used for? Bomb shelters. And if being in a bomb shelter wasn’t enough, as soon as they get out they find some mysterious science shack with extremely old and broken technology- thats weird. It leads them to theorize that they may be experiments, which is a pretty good idea. However, whenever wars happen that wipe out entire places, it’s usually from some shady government organization behind it all.

And the demon dogs, the almost minotaurs, and having superpowers would also have me thinking that the radioactive fallout from the bombs had mutated these regular animals into these mutant creatures. And maybe some of these chemicals seeped into the bunker enough to wipe out our memories and give us weird powers. Maybe the weird biomes we end up in are because the environment is all messed up from some nuclear blast. Maybe that weird witch lady making soup out of bones is some ghoulish mutant that used to be human and is clinging the the fragile illusion of any humanity they have left.

BUT THE BIGGEST THING- THE LITERAL FOUR HORSEMEN SHOW UP. How did they not immediately think “apocalypse” after that??? THAT WOULD BE MY FIRST THOUGHT. War, famine, plague, and death are all interacting with you and you think nothing of it? And Weirdy being- yaknow, weird, is also good for the apocalypse. He’s blue, has cartoon physics even in by the cartoon standards, and seemingly has magical powers just like the main contestants do. Id just assume he’s also some human survivor of the apocalypse with superpowers and probably went crazy along the way. And him saying “You chose to be here” could mean that The Hollow gang chose to seal themselves in the bunker to survive the disaster that happened to the world.
