________________________________________ ** I wanted to write a separate short story to explain what happened during their trip back home the morning after the wedding but it didn't come out the way I wanted. (fight my perfectionism, not me lol) In short; A.J. values their friendship more than anything. He worked to earn Kaliah's trust and when it's all said and done, what she wants and how she feels matter more to him than his own feelings and wants. She asked to brush it off as a random one night and never think or speak about it again. As we see above, (after roughly a month and some change of denial) that didn't work out for either of them. 🙃
