Oh my friend, I’m afraid you’ve probably read way more than I have, so I don’t have that many recommendations 😅 I’m only just starting to show some of my ao3 bookmarks (the fics I’ve read or am currently keeping up with and would recommend) in case you want to take a look (I’ll be adding more over the next few weeks). But for now, I can mention a few options, though I’m not sure if you’ve already read them.

Can you handle gore? Because there’s a comic called Residuum (there’s a censored version on ao3 but PLEASE, read the TWs first!). That comic is literally the reason I’m stuck here in the fandom.

If not, you could read KLS (KITTYLITTERSMOOTHIE). She has a series called The Sanguine Softshell (I still need to read part three). Very good Donnie angst. Kinda devastating. And it deals with mental health issues in a pretty intense way.

Or if you’re looking for more physical/post-movie angst, I’d recommend @revanagade with Protocol: B. Great Donnie and Mikey angst 🙂‍↕️

Or I don’t know if you’ve seen that famous and disturbing Donnie-centered tmnt 2003 episode… someone made a rottmnt version of it and it’s really good: BANISHMENT WASN’T GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU by @wafflekidgirlboy.

And even Raphael, the greatest by @hi-im-pluton if you want Raph angst.

I’m afraid most of these aren’t finished though 😅

Now… it’s true that none of them quite reach the level of angst of Two Minutes (maybe Residuum does 😅), but they’re totally worth it 👀

Well, technically the fandom killed them, but I allowed it. Democracy failed, and it was my fault. Now Raph, Leo, and Donnie are dead.

People wanted to see The Last Ronin! I couldn’t have predicted this! It’s my fault. And now I’m preparing the graves so that Mikey can grieve in the best possible way.

I've seen you around a fair bit, and it turns out that we have a lot of moots in common, so I decided to take a look at your master post/pinned post to get a feel for you and figure out what I might recognize you from, and I saw that within your DNI list you had both sarathewizard and shellcord. That just made me happy because I do something very similar on my dni list (including both of them and more) and I genuinely didn't think anyone else did something like that! I've only ever seen the usual, generic stuff like no pro shipping and tcest etc.

Hiiii, hello new moot!!! (I swear I’d already been following you before, I have no idea what happened DD: )

Actually, I think it was thanks to one of your reblogs that I found out about the shellcord/shellcell drama, and I felt like it was VERY important to spread awareness about it. Honestly, at first I didn’t want to put DNIs or anything like that because I tend to be way too idealistic, and in my mind respect and responsibility should just be basic things. Well… apparently not.

As my follower count started growing, I had to become more explicit about certain things because not doing so already caused me some problems. The fandom is really hurt and divided 💔 and that kind of forces us to take a stance even if we don’t want to. I genuinely want my blog to be as comfortable and welcoming as possible for most people.

Now, I know some of my moots still follow Sara, for example… but that’s no longer my responsibility. As long as I know my moots don’t support those kinds of harmful views, that’s enough for me, because it’s impossible to control everything, and honestly, I don’t want to control everything either. I just wanna control my own blog, that’s it.

Of course I saw that episode :) In fact (as I say about many others), it’s one of my favorites! It clearly shows that Raph has a hard time being alone and that he needs his brothers (season 1, episode 21a: “Man vs. Sewer”).

But Raph isn’t a static character, and he has some character growth: little by little, he learns to trust his brothers more, as we see at the end of season two and also in the movie (especially with the leadership shift with Leo). And there’s also in season 2, episode 8a: Raph’s Ride-Along, where Raph is already handling things on his own as best he can. Another piece of evidence of his growth to being alone.

Now, in season 2, episode 5b (“Pizza Puffs”), Raph gets angry because he’s been doing all the missions on his own while his brothers don’t really follow through. That’s where my comment came from: “Rise Raph was this close to going solo—no doubt about it—just like 2007 Raph and 2012 Raph. It’s in his blood. Just saying.” (Context here)

I wasn’t saying he was going to abandon his team. In this version, that wouldn’t even make sense—he’s the leader. There’s no contradiction. He was angry, yes, but the way he handled it was by making his brothers take responsibility for their own messes.

If we compare with other versions:

In 2007, Leo (the leader) had left them for a long time, and even though Raph said otherwise, he needed him. That’s why he became destabilized, and his way of dealing with it was going off on his own.

In 2012, Raph is more impulsive, constantly clashes with Leo’s leadership, and ends up going solo on multiple occasions. But he would never abandon his brothers. He’s very protective of his family (and he always came back to the team, which shows that his actions were emotional reactions—not a true rejection).
