#turtles ages

I was making another post and this was a small side quest I went on

I found it odd that the turtles in ‘Mutant Mayhem’ seem so young and I looked it up. . .their 15. . . Yeah I wasn’t expecting that. I ended up asking my parents who grew up with the 1987 series and the 1990 movies what they thought the turtles general ages were. My Mom said it depends on the Movie/Cartoon/Comic/ it is. . . And that some of them seem younger than others. She said that the movies would be in their late teens. and that sometimes with Donnie being the smart one she said you’d think that'd make them a little on the older side. she said 16 would be PUSHING IT at youngest and 25 at oldest Maby (note she’s pretty unfamiliar with most turtle iteration's. And constantly gets Leo and Donnie mixed up. . .) My Dad said he'd imagine their about 15/16, because they can drive and their mannerisms/way of talking give off that age.

I looked at a few Reddit threads and Wikis to get a list of general ages that people seem to consider them.

Again. Some of his was off of general fan opinions.

1987: undisclosed. posable ages for them are. Leo & Donnie 16 Raph & Mikey 15. also they age During the series and by S4 their about 18/19. (assumingely)

OG 1990-1993 movies: By the end of the trilogy the turtles are around 18. the time in between movies is unknown but the time in between movie releases is 1 and 2 years. Do with that what you will. 2003: Generally considered to be in their late teens 18-19. (but are apparently 14-15. . .)

2012: they turned 15 in the first episode. 16 Maby 17 by the end of the series

2014/Micheal Bay: Considered to be in their late teens to adults 18-20’s (tho they are actually 15-16. . .)

2018/Rise: Raph is 15 Leo and Donnie are 14 and Mikey is 13. the movie apparently had a 2 year time jump Making them 17, 16, and 15

2023-2024/Mutant Mayhem: said to be 15. Tho they seem more around 13-14

Ok, so I have no clue if anyone has said this before, but while having a conversation with a friend, a thought occurred to me. What if Raph was actually younger than his brothers?

Hear me out...

From what I know Splinter based the turtles ages off their height, furthermore I doubt draxum knew what age each of them where cuz they were just experiments to him at the time. Why would he give a shit as long as they completed his mission in crushing all of humanity?

Also, Raph is 15 at the beginning of the series(Donnie, Leo 14 and Mikey 13), however it is stated that Splinter has been living in the sewers with his sons for 15 years. That implies that Leo, Donnie and Mikey are too young to have existed when they were with Draxum.
