Sea Turtle Nesting Season is upon us here along the coast of Florida.
Female turtles come ashore—usually at night—to dig a nest in the sand and lay about 50–200 eggs. After about 45–70 days, the hatchlings emerge and instinctively head toward the ocean.
I symbolically adopted a Loggerhead Sea Turtle 🐢 nest 💕 located within Haulover Park. It’s to aid in protection of the nest and sea turtle conservation efforts. You too can adopt a nest.
