Turnsgiving 2025 Day 1: Which inaccurate plot line do you wish was kept in tune with the actual history?

Ummm can I answer EVERYTHING? Lol, lmao even. Being serious though I think they really bungled by not having Abraham and Robert Townsend being the main characters, which they definitely were in the irl events. At least that’s how it seems to me. Like why is Robert so sidelined in this story? He didn’t even get official promo pictures which is like. Wow rude! He was carrying the ring in irl history and low key so was Abe. Those two went through HELL and actually—contrary to what the show would have you believe—ran a surprisingly smooth operation. They even had their own interpersonal and Simcoe Related soap opera drama going on as a B plot to the spying stuff.

I just don’t get what was so uninteresting about them that they both got shafted in their own story 😞 and I’m NOT advocating that we cut everyone else out (well. maybe some people), but ummm certainly we could have wrapped some of that random stuff up a little quicker or idk. Given people things to do that were on topic. Because there’s certain points in this show where it literally feels like we’ve forgotten about The Plot and have instead entered the universe of a pulp novel.
