Things you might not have known #Jet engine
Ok. I think that everybody knows how the 4-stroke piston engine works. Even if you at least applied for your driver licences, you had your ten minutes introduction to ‘what is actually powering up the car’. But have you ever wondered how the Jet engines actually works? Well if you do, continue reading. If not, I hope you have a great day :)

PICUTER! Yay. First you need to understand that unlikely in the piston engines, the Jet engines combustion process is continuous. You can compare it to your kitchen oven, you start it up, and its process is continuous.
Ok, we got the compressor, combustion chamber and the turbine. Those are the main essentials of the jet engine, that it needs in order to work. So the mooving process of airplane is the result of different Velocity of the air, right? So I need somehow to speed up the air flow, and we achive that with the Combustion chamber. But since we start mooving from the ground (Alltitude = 0) and in order to ignite or burn the petrol (Usually kerosene) we need lower pressure of the air, and thats the purpose of the Compressor. See? It isn’t that hard to understand. But what about the turbine? Well we need something to power up the compressor, don’t we? That’s the whole purpose of turbine.
Yo dawg, i heard you like compressors, so I added a compressor to your compressor.
Yes exactly! In order to achieve better efficiency, some really smart people added a low & high pressure compressor and on the other side high & low speed turbine. So the high speed turbine is powering the high pressure compressor, and the low speed turbine is powering low pressure compressor. But is it enough?

Well, and what about we add a big huge proppeler or in this case, it’s called Fan. Sounds familiar? It should, because these fan’s (are not mine, hehe ^^) concepts are called Turbofan engines or sometimes Bypass engine (Picture no.2). Bypass, because large amount of air bypasses the inner section of engine with the combustion chamber and turbine. It is the engine that usually is powering up most of the civil aviation airplanes (A-320,A-321,B-737, B-747 and many more ... ). But what you might have not know, that actually up to 80% of the bypassing air is creating the force needed to move. Now that is interesting.
Hope you liked my little educational blog, and stayed tuned for upcoming interesting blogs.
