Jetstream Aviation Capital Delivers Third Saab 340B to CM Airlines

Jetstream Aviation Capital has delivered a Saab 340B passenger aircraft to CM Airlines, marking the third Saab 340B the regional aircraft lessor has supplied to the Honduran carrier.

The aircraft, serial number 340B-199, was delivered on August 6, 2026. CM Airlines will deploy the aircraft on scheduled and charter passenger services across Honduras and Guatemala.

CM Airlines is a privately owned scheduled airline headquartered at Toncontín Airport in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The carrier operates services connecting destinations across Honduras and Guatemala.

ATL delivers fuel tank systems for Brontanax development programme

Aero Tec Laboratories (ATL) has supplied specialised flexible fuel bladder tanks for BAE Systems’ Brontanax autonomous combat aircraft programme, contributing to the development of the UK’s next-generation collaborative combat aircraft.

The Brontanax platform, unveiled by BAE Systems at the Farnborough International Airshow, is described as the UK’s first British-designed autonomous Collaborative Combat Aircraft. The programme brings together more than 75 UK companies to develop an uncrewed aircraft capable of operating alongside crewed fighter aircraft.

Lufthansa renews EMAS environmental certification

Lufthansa has completed revalidation under the European Union’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) for the 2025 reporting year, reaffirming its commitment to environmental management and continuous improvement in sustainability performance.

The latest validation also marks the first time that Lufthansa City Airlines and Lufthansa Aviation GmbH have been certified under the EMAS framework, expanding the environmental management system across additional companies within the Lufthansa Group.

Orbital to supply engines for MightyFly cargo aircraft flight test programme

Orbital Corporation has secured a commercial contract with US-based autonomous cargo aircraft developer MightyFly to supply three Orbital Heavy Fuel Engine propulsion systems for its autonomous cargo aircraft development and flight test programme.

The engines are scheduled for delivery in September 2026 and will support the next phase of MightyFly’s aircraft validation programme as the company advances its autonomous cargo platform toward commercial operations.

Jin Air to lease 14 aircraft from Korean Air and Asiana ahead of LCC integration

Jin Air will lease 14 aircraft from Korean Air and Asiana Airlines as it prepares for the launch of the Korean Air Group’s integrated low-cost carrier (LCC), scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

The leased fleet will comprise 10 Airbus A321neo aircraft, one Airbus A321ceo and three Boeing 737-900s, with deliveries set to begin sequentially from September 2026.

The lease agreements, valued at approximately KRW708 billion, will remain in effect through December 2035, providing Jin Air with additional capacity while supporting the group’s fleet integration strategy.

AMAC Aerospace Turkey completes dual C-Checks on Dassault Falcon aircraft

AMAC Aerospace Turkey has completed two C-check maintenance projects on Dassault Falcon business jets at its Istanbul facility, delivering a range of heavy maintenance, structural repair and refurbishment work as demand for business aircraft maintenance continues to grow.

One of the aircraft, a privately operated Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy, underwent a comprehensive 3C inspection that included extensive zonal inspections, heavy structural repairs, a complete repaint, livery change and interior refurbishment. The maintenance package also covered replacement of the aircraft’s carpet and flight crew seat sheepskins, scheduled engine replacement, installation of halon-free fire extinguishers, and replacement of fuel gauges, antennas and pneumatic valves identified during inspection findings.
