DAE signs purchase-leaseback deal with Saudia for four Boeing 777F aircraft
Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has signed a purchase agreement with Saudia for four new Boeing 777F aircraft. The aircraft will be leased back to Saudia under long-term lease agreements.
The aircraft are scheduled for delivery between October 2026 and May 2027. The deal will support Saudia’s cargo operations and expand its freighter fleet.
Firoz Tarapore, Chief Executive Officer of DAE, said, “We are pleased to announce a purchase-leaseback agreement for four Boeing 777F aircraft with Saudia. This transaction reflects our continued commitment to supporting our airline customers with high-quality, in-demand aircraft. SETNA iO acquires A320neo airframe and GTF PW1100 QEC components
SETNA iO has acquired a 2019-vintage Airbus A320neo airframe along with two sets of GTF PW1100 quick engine change (QEC) components as part of its efforts to expand its aircraft material portfolio.
The A320neo features the latest-generation avionics, cockpit systems and flight control surface technology. The aircraft will be dismantled at the ecube Solutions facility in Castellón, Spain, with its components recovered for further use.

Summit Aviation appoints Victor Kriger as CFO
Victor Kriger has taken over as Chief Financial Officer at Summit Aviation, effective July 27. He will oversee the company’s financial strategy, planning, reporting and decision support.
Kriger’s appointment comes as part of a planned leadership transition ahead of the retirement of Joyce Price Morales, who has served Summit Aviation for more than 39 years. Kriger and Morales will work together during the transition period to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities.
Kriger brings more than 17 years of experience in financial strategy, planning and decision support across the aerospace, pharmaceutical and biologics industries. Teledyne GroundLink Edge computing platform receives FAA Approval for Boeing 737
Teledyne Controls has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval for its GroundLink Edge Computing Platform (ECP) for the Boeing 737 aircraft series.
The certification enables airlines to deploy, update and manage onboard software applications remotely through Teledyne’s AppLink cloud service, without requiring aircraft downtime, hardware modifications or separate aircraft-level certification for each new application.
The approval marks the initial certification of GroundLink ECP and establishes a software-defined aircraft data platform for one of the world’s most widely operated commercial aircraft families. Jetstream Aviation Capital has delivered a Saab 340B passenger aircraft to CM Airlines, marking the third Saab 340B the regional aircraft lessor has supplied to the Honduran carrier.
The aircraft, serial number 340B-199, was delivered on August 6, 2026. CM Airlines will deploy the aircraft on scheduled and charter passenger services across Honduras and Guatemala.

Lufthansa has completed revalidation under the European Union’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) for the 2025 reporting year, reaffirming its commitment to environmental management and continuous improvement in sustainability performance.

Orbital Corporation has secured a commercial contract with US-based autonomous cargo aircraft developer MightyFly to supply three Orbital Heavy Fuel Engine propulsion systems for its autonomous cargo aircraft development and flight test programme.
