Presenting the newest collectable hunting, baddie stomping, animal duo- Oboe & Toobah! 🕷🐸 Join them on their adventures in NEW 3D graphics, only on Nintendo 64* *Rumble pack not included. I had so much fun drawing this one and imagine I'll be drawing this duo again soon~ Banjo-Kazooie is one of my absolute favourite games and I have many fond memories of playing it as a kid. After recently playing Yooka-Laylee I thought that I could make my own B-K style duo to play about with! My inspiration for choosing Turantula/Frog for this came from something I learned recently about a mutual relationship between a kind of frog (Dotted Humming Frog) and a burrowing Turantula where they hunt bugs and eat together. It's a bit of a complicated thing for me to explain but it's super interesting, so I'd recommend googling it! While sketching this I put together a couple of extra pages of expressions and moves. I' love to come back to these characters again and maybe make a moves-list for them. Maybe I'll do a Smash Bros. inspired version~ If you want to see my sketchbook pages for this drawing, you can check them out here- https://www.patreon.com/posts/56914362 I also remembered to record this one as a timelapse video! This was recorded using CSP's inbuilt timelapse feature which means that you can't see any of the canvas movement or brush strokes, but instead shows an action-by-action playback of everything I did (Undo's and all!) You can see the full timelpase on YouTube at- https://youtu.be/_BlVbBUZ5D4
Hoo man this took a while to paint. Just like the game Animal Crossing, I kept finding new things to add to the drawing haha. Timelapse Vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIo9bdWZNcY
