Completely agree. Although, I will say that the situation is different with Quentin and Dinah because she isn’t his daughter whereas Laurel was, so the “shitting on Laurel” part doesn’t really apply here. But I agree. “Black Canary” has nothing to do with Dinah, as it’s been established in the show itself. And with these writers constantly saying and suggesting that the comics aren’t important to the show -- in the sense that they can throw those books out the window if they want to do something that goes completely against it -- and yet the justification of Dinah being called “Black Canary” is because... of the comics??? It baffles me. As I said to the last anon, it’s horrid writing.
