Summary: Rena and Dil get playful, then discuss possibilities before heading to the Captain's quarters. -------------- For those of you asking yourselves what is Wandercraft? It is an ongoing story on ao3 co-written by two people and loosely set in the World of Warcraft/Azeroth sandbox. It is made up of original characters and barely touches on the main game's storyline. Teagan is just your average, everyday, gay incubus until a nearly-dead "dog" shows up on his doorstep. Tully is just your not-so-average, not-so-everyday, bi shadow-wolf fey-assassin; drained, exhausted, and in not-so-good shape. Also he is not a dog, thank you very much. Okay, so, a story on this still in progress, which has gotten long enough that I feel like I should just answer this now and then rebagel it with the story attached on a read more when it’s finally finished.  My oldest ask here!If Rendilosa went to the same high school, and it was a normal AU high school not like Warcraft high…Tulosa would be the juvenile delinquent people make rumors about who avoids hanging out with studious and shy good girl, Rena even though they share a foster parent and are pretty close as a result.  He doesn’t want his reputation to tarnish hers.Dil is the rich pretty boy with his equally pretty twin sister.  The two are pretty inseparable outside of class.  She’s in AP classes and an overachiever whereas Dil only gets involved in art.  This is Dil’s in as a high school ship.  He shares art class with Rena.  However, he also has a free love sort of reputation that gets Tully’s attention when he starts hanging out with Rena.

This is a gift art for the lovely @worldofbeancraft and @dilpicklez of their adorable trio of characters they write together. Rena and Tulosa (on the ends) belong to worldofbeancraft and then Dil in the center belongs to dilpicklez.

Ethnicity/Species: Kaldorei

Birthplace and birthdate: Kalimdor/Unknown; at least 5k years old, maybe as old as 8k; Pisces

Guilty Pleasures: Maybe in being cared for.  He’s always taking care of others instead, doesn’t remember when someone took time for him, and doesn’t feel he deserves it (but it also can make him uncomfortable long-term).  

Maybe also in helping other people (because it is in part to assuage his past deed guilt, so he considers it selfishly motivated).  I dunno, he really doesn’t feel guilty for anything he takes pleasure in otherwise.  Generally unapologetic about that sort of thing.  @telurin can pipe up if she thinks of something I’m not recalling at the moment.

Worst Fear/Phobias: His worst fear is that he will hurt or otherwise fail the people he cares about, resulting in their deaths.  He also fears that he will fall back under control by the priestesses of the Order of Mysteries, losing more memories and once again serving as an assassin against his will.  Deep down he also fears he is not a good man and the order did not need to control his mind and actions as much as he’d like to blame them for (and that he deserves death but his inability to commit suicide will eventually cost more lives in the event the order gets a hold of him again).

What they would be famous for: Guitar and back up vocals for a famous band?  Captain of the Tal Shanre if her crew accomplished some great or amazing thing?

What have they been arrested for: Nothing he’s earned a record for/been found guilty of, or remembers.  Although there are a few modern human AUs where he was arrested and spent time in prison for kicking the ass of some guy (assault) who wouldn’t stop harassing Rena.

Favorite book genre: High seas adventure

Least favorite book cliche: Someone has to die (for plot, drama, realism, whatever have you, if they don’t deserve death, he doesn’t like it).

Talents and/or powers: Pretty much everything you’d expect of a really old assassin/rogue who also makes for a good sea Captain.  But also includes some NSFW training back with The Order of Mysteries

Why someone might love them: He takes care of his people and makes good on anything owed, often helping out with his own connections and funds when he meets a stranger in dire straits.  He can also be roguishly charming and fun when he tries.  He is secretly a cinnamon roll.

Why someone might hate them: He can be cold and/or dismissive, feigning indifference, sometimes to the point of emotionally shutting down.  He may also dig his heels in on his own decisions, especially if he doesn’t trust someone or doesn’t like them, but also if he is trying to protect them/push them away.  He is not above pretending to be okay with people who are assholes (or pretending to be one of them), preferring to bide his time until he can make a retaliation count rather than immediately showing distaste in a deserving target.  

This can lead some people to think he’s okay with morally unsavory people (or one of them) or genuinely intends to do nothing about them like he pretends.  He can also be a cocky bastard on occasion (especially with certain people and in certain circumstances).  He does an awful lot of pretending and remaining emotionally inaccessible (to help good people, thwart bad people, and keep himself isolated/protected).

From the criminal side of things, someone might hate him because they realize they failed at something because he “betrayed” them and thus can’t be trusted.  He will often make moves without consulting or letting anyone else in on his plans or intentions, leaving them to guess at his motivations and sometimes making him look arrogant and completely untrustworthy.

How they change: He learns to trust and not hold himself apart from the people around him.  He eases up on his watchful guardian/spectator/captain work load and learns to have fun and relax, truly joining the people around him that he cares for, rather than just helping them.  Eventually learns to let himself have and enjoy good things and people rather than keep himself apart as some form of self-enforced penance.

Why you love them: Self-sacrificing deep thinker who’s had a horrible past but still does his best to take care of others life has dealt a crushing blow to.  Feels everything on a deep and intelligent level, knows how to help and does so, but doesn’t quite know how to really connect with the people around him.  But also...can be roguishly charming and fun.  Also, occasionally gets to be a bamf.
