In jail my favorite show to watch was supernatural. The reason why is for some reason they have really good mixing on that show compared to the other programing you watch in there. You know when you watch TV and a commercial comes on and you have to turn it down because it’s either annoying or too much louder in some way than what you were watching? Supernatural had mixing that was easy on the ears. They have a mixer who is good with reverb. I didn’t really pay attention to the show, but, everyone liked it, and when you’re locked up and everyone kind of relaxes, it’s priceless. The guards left our TV on from 8-8 everyday, on full volume. It would enrage me at times, and was a form of subliminal torture because it was so loud and would even distort. The speakers were so shitty, so you heard all the highs and the rattling of sound off the walls of the box that held the TV. When that show would come on, it would still rattle, but the mixing was pleasant. The mixers used reverb really well, and the music, the noises, the dialogue, it was all toned down, so even on the action parts, nothing was too abrasive on the ears, even at full volume on the jail TV. Because of this, guys would sit, stare up at the show, or quietly do their thing, and there were less fights, less arguments, less people acting out, and, overall, it was calm for the most part, from 8-10 weekday mornings, and I could exhale and feel grateful for that. That show was like a hit of weed on the pod, and everyone was a little calmer, so that’s when I’d feel the best, was when there was peace. Thank you, supernatural.

Movement Mastery Series - The Pull Up TTCF Rugby Ave - January 10th, 2016 @11am Starting January 10th, TTCF is happy to present our new Movement Mastery Series! Once a month our training staff will cover the essentials of efficient movement through a variety of exercises. Each month we will focus on one particular skill set, delving into the areas that cause inefficient movement, loss of force production, or improper positioning. We will cover mobility related issues and exercises that will help athletes perform better and resolve any range of motion issues. Gymnastic skill progressions will help athletes progress their movements gradually and safely, allowing them to work towards Rx’ing the more technical movements during WODs, or learning new high level gymnastic skills. As an added bonus, MMS Workshops will be FREE to Unlimited Members. Members on 2 or 3 day per week plans will pay $20 per workshop. Athletes outside of TTCF are invited to attend as well, so invite your family and friends who are looking to improve their skills! Non-members will pay $30 per workshop.
