The shape of her body is strange and lonesome; she stakes her claim like it kills her to, closing her eyes to her own fear). Lonely girl in a lonely house, grasping at a new name as if it’ll shape her into something new— she bites her tongue and keeps it buried behind her teeth, doesn’t let the syllables flee from their coffin when she talks to her mother.
