I like the book but I’m honestly confused why the author chose to make this a dual pov. Amunet is a much more interesting character, but Samira has the more engaging journey. Like Amunet’s portion of this story feels entirely flat and pointless atp. It genuinely feels like you could’ve cut Samira from the story completely, given her journey to Amunet, and it would’ve made just as much sense. Keir succeeds in taking Amunet from the palace, they go and she sees the shroud and agrees to help except she knows she can’t because she can’t contact Shaya, that can be the lie. Idk it just feel like the two main characters could’ve been combined into one and it would’ve made story more fluid and engaging
