A laugh pierced the room, soft but menacing. "Sounds like you just want me to get in bed with you." Slender fingers wrapped around the drowned man's wrists, which still gripped Helliot's shirt viciously. The younger immortal batted his eyes. "You're turning red, Max."
Maxwell quickly took a step back, releasing his victim. "Jackass," he muttered, unable to slow his heartbeat. The damned pirate was doing this intentionally.
Helliot's coy smile slipped into a smirk. "You could just ask," he taunted. "You know I won't say no."
The shorter man's own heart skipped a beat as he was suddenly pulled closer to Maxwell. Their lips met in a firm kiss. Helliot watched him through half-shut eyes before succumbing to the embrace.
"Don't throw me overboard until my body starts decomposing."
In hindsight, he should have tried harder not to die.
