OK! So I'm going to do an analysis and theory revolving around Sun
And I'm going to do a criticism of Moon! Now, if you read the entire criticism of Moon and feel personally called out, take a breath and step back and ask yourself "why do I feel insulted by the criticism of a fictional character?". I know there's a lot of you who kin/stan Moon but just because you like him doesn't mean you can't criticize him.
On that note, I love debate and discussion and fully invite it! ✨😌
Just be warned this theory and critique will mention recent TSAMS eps, so I'm spoiling it so no one gets spoiled!
☠️💖💅☀️🌙✨🙏⬇️ Spoilers ⬇️🙏✨🌙☀️💅💖☠️
THEORY TIME:
So with today's ep, I had to sit back at the new skeleton Sun. At first I was kind of mad cause like...what the hell is that. Who is that. Why is that? but then I got thinking. Whoever this is, it didn't seem like he had Sun's memories but he also did seem to? Has anyone else noticed there's been an increase of Suns just.... showing up?
First we had Rise from before the move. He was made from the perfect replica of Sun's personality and memories. The only problem is he didn't look at all like Sun. We find out later Sun's very important firewall was glitched and down. I think this is due to the painful zap he received when he teleported Wither Nexus to the empty dimension. @trashwriter1102 Actually went back and checked old videos for me to see when it was stated Sun had the firewall glitch.
We think it was either due to minor NSP poisoning from when Sun touched Nexus or from the teleportation device being unstable. It might have even been a combination of the two things causing Sun's firewall to fail.
Reminder, that firewall was made specifically because the Creator hijacked Sun's brain and was torturing him in his own mind. That firewall was necessary to keep Sun's mind protected.
So with his firewall down, Fazbear was able to fully download his memories into some kind of database and that's how they made Rise.
The only reason the family knew Rise wasn't Sun was because he was not built to look exactly like Sun. However, he had every one of Sun's memories and fully thought he was Sun. The episode they're introduced in ends with Moon wiring his brain so the knows he is in fact not Sunrise and a new animatronic entirely.
Sun was also fired from the daycare. I find that so suspicious.
Sun was by all accounts the record earning animatronic and the fan favorite at fazbear. He was still attending to the daycare until the very end.
So, it's very odd he was replaced.
It was explained by Moon it was possible he was maybe replaced due to his firewall going down but that just seems like an odd reason?
Then about 3 weeks later in TSAMS posting timeline another Sun showed up.
The Sun that looked identical to Sun who showed up slightly after. They just randomly showed up. The Yandere Sun.
He looks exactly like our Sun but didn't have any of Sun's memories.
The entire family did not know he was an imposter. The only way Moon figured it out was when Y!Sun asked who Terra/Earth is. He let it slip he doesn't even have a sister. Moon then proceeded to test him by threatening to lock Sun back up in a magic box Sun kept acting weird around Monty.
No one really asked how or why that Sun was randomly there...they just kind of called him a Yandere because he grabbed a knife and kicked him out.
So while that Sun didn't seem to be interested in replacing him does no one else find it strange he just showed up?
We also have been meeting this new re-occuring Sun and Moon who are animalistic and looking to expand their pack. They're like wolves and for some reason TSAMS Sun smelled good to them. They liked him.
Moon eventually did trick them into going to Eclipse's dimension (I actually really liked these episodes XD) and EAPS!Sun ended up wanting to go with them. To which the Alpha Sun rejected him because he smelled too much like a cat and was dumb like one too.
So smell wise....TSAMS Sun smells more dog like? Despite having cats as pets that he very much snuggles daily. It could have also just been a fun vibe kind of gag.
Fast forward more to after the move, Killer Sun showed up. He's been showing up frequently and no one knows why yet. It's assumed he wants something from the new Observer enemy, with the bounty out on Solar, but that's not confirmed yet.
In one of the more recent episodes we also met the E boy / Emo Sun (hate that name btw) and we find out he is in fact some kind of...clone? It's not really found out if he's a clone or from another dimension or what...but we do have evidence that this Sun either watches the show or has current memories of Sun's.
While it was very obviously not their Sun...Moon kind of thought Sun was doing something to be annoying. So he eventually tried calling Sun while Solar looked for him. Oddly enough, Solar could not find Sun and when Moon called that Eb!Sun's voicemail is what picked up.
Even though it wasn't Sun.
The number Moon tried went to Eb!Sun's phone.
I have a theory that it's due to this Sun (who might be a clone) has the same number as Sun and since he was closer to Moon physically that's why Moon's call connected to him and not our Sun.
Something else to point out.
Shortly before the first big confrontation and fight Moon and Monty went to go confront their most recent enemy. Moon tried to call Sun and he didn't answer. He's always answered so I found that kind of worrisome. Then we look at what's happening now. Sun is acting very strange.
Yes he's upset and trying to be petty and hurt Moon back...but his silliness with the wig...and how he seemingly keeps vanishing into his room. On top of all these random Sun's showing up over time. I can't help but wonder if there's more to the randomness?
Remember...a long time ago Dark Sun impersonated Sun...and no one knew it was him. He's only been caught two times and both were due to Sun's Phone.
The only people to really notice something was off with Dark Sun was Dazzle. Not even Terra/Earth and Cosmos/Lunar could tell Dark Sun was pretending to be Sun. It was quite literally his phone in both instances that got Dark Sun caught.
This means...we actually don't know how many times Dark Sun has pretended to be Sun. While I know he's gone to his Suntopia we have to remember we still never found out what all of his motives were. We still don't know why he went to the effort to pretend to be Sun.
We still don't even know what he took from Sun's room or why he needed it.
We also know what Dark Sun did has affected the multiverse like some kind of poison. Suns are killing their Moons more and we even learned the statistic D!Sun told Sun about Moons killing their Suns was a lie.
We even have proof Sun and Moon variants, like Day and Night might be affected by what Dark Sun has done too because of them just snapping and changing one day. (I am not caught up on the new laes so it's possible I'm so off about this)
It's like...Sun is stated to be some form of a pillar Sun in the multiverse, that's why his decision to kill a brother affected the multiverse so deeply. Isn't it almost like...sun's are showing up now to take his spot?
I can't wait to see more of this. If more random Sun's will keep showing up. Are they possibly Sun's from other dimensions that want Sun's own life? I don't really know if that's the case but Sun vanishing a lot lately is...interesting.
MOON CRITIQUE TIME:
I feel like a lot of what I want to say has already been said. Moon flat out broke a promise and he's upset he's suffering the consequences of his actions. Moon I have such a hard time understanding.
He gives me the vibe of he loves Sun...but doesn't like him.
Moon has literally no problem actively choosing to hurt Sun over and over again. He condescends Sun too. Calling him emotional. Calling him sensitive. Implying he's useless and not needed.
The worse thing is...Moon has broken promise after promise. He's not just recently broken his promise.
Shortly after the move, he broke his promise to Sun to not commit crimes.
He broke his promise when he first came back and used the kill code voice on Sun.
He modified Sun's body without any consent....because it'd take too long to explain to Sun (who had a broken spine in this moment mind you) that he was installing some kind of super emp into him.
He didn't even think Sun could be useful when it came time to seeing Wither Nexus to another dimension.
Moon also has returned to his backhanded compliments, berating, demeaning, and just...screaming at Sun when he's mad.
When Sun first saved Moon and killed Nexus, Moon said he'd talk with Sun when they got back. He promised Sun it'd be okay and he'd be there and the moment they returned home he ran off to his lab and avoided Sun.
The worst part? When he did return and try to comfort Sun...he just straight up told Sun he did hate them at the start and that's why Moon literally tortured him.
Then of course recently...he accused Sun of being the reason why Nexus went crazy and that's just...wow. Sun literally confided in him how he feels about Nexus...how he blames himself.
Moon flat out chooses over and over again to hurt Sun because he's so insecure the only way he can feel good about himself is beating Sun down and excluding Sun.
It flat out feels like he's mad Sun's been outshining him lately. I can't think of any reason why he just chooses to treat Sun below dirt.
Sun's been spending more time forgiving Moon in his life then he has been living his life. He's spent more time justifying why Moon is so awful to him and he's now just...stopped finding reasons to forgive Moon.
Before Moon died, Sun could blame Eclipse, BloodMoon, or even KillCode for Moon's terrible behavior...but then he met that other Moon.
The one who never left a killcode in their Sun's head. The one who told him he wouldn't have done that to his Sun because it would have only hurt him.
Sun even went to several dimensions where another version of Moon just straight up killed their Sun. Sun denied Moon truly hated him
Sun was also taught by his new family that Old Moon abused him. He did. There's no argument there. Moon is awful at times. Awful. Period.
He broke down Sun to the point where Sun would never have the confidence to leave him. He punished Sun unfairly because he didn't like the situation they were both equally in. He also hated Sun for being good with kids. He hated that Sun liked the daycare. He flat out resented Sun for being happy.
He resented Sun for liking him.
Then we move to after he died.
Sun told New Moon (Nexus) that he loves and likes him so much more then Old Moon...because when you look at the way Nexus treated Sun versus how O.Moon treated Sun it's just night and day.
We also saw how much better Moon treated Lunar/Cosmos...their enemy at the time and I truly think Sun hasn't forgotten that.
Terra/Earth also built Sun up through therapy and family love. For a short period Sun felt love and knows what it means to have a loving family.
We all know how that went with Nexus' downfall and Moonv3's return.
So with current TL, Moonv3 keeps making the same mistakes over and over again. It's cyclical. He wants to bring back the cycle of abuse for whatever reason.
Sun is for once in his life putting his foot down and standing up for himself and this makes Moon crazy.
He's yelling screaming and quite literally blowing up at Sun over really random and silly things. Even things that aren't Sun's fault Moon is now trying to blame on Sun.
He's genuinely just spiraling and not getting why Sun is being petty and stooping down to teach him a lesson.
Here's the thing...Sun hasn't yelled or insulted Moon once. Not once.
But Sun could absolutely devastate Moon. He could flat out disown Moon over this.
So here's where I'm saying new things about the situation. Do remember how much Moon spiraled when Sun insulted him so long ago? Sun called him a bad person and he crashed out so hard over that.
What Moon doesn't understand, and that he needs to, is Sun did not want O.Moon to come back.
He didn't at all.
Monty brought Moon back against Sun's own will. Monty asked Sun and instead of saying yes or no...Sun basically said do whatever you want because you don't care about what I have to say....and he was right.
Moon was accepted back into the family very...tentatively. Sun grieved for him but he still outright said, "Things won't be the same"
And they're not.
I'm truly glad Sun is standing up for himself but it's so sad that just the smallest push back from Sun is causing Moon to act this way. To insult Sun and bring up all the things that hurt him.
What will Moon insult next? Will Moon, like in the non canon roast video, just tell Sun he murdered Dazzle? He said it is Sun's fault Nexus went crazy.
Moonv3 is literally throwing a tantrum and acting out so childishly because in his mind, if he can get Sun to scream, to cry, to hit him, then that means Sun is no better then him and it can justify him hurting Sun.
It's a very childish and backwards mindset. It's exactly what he did to Sun in the Beta 10 bunker.
Remember? Sun was trying to be positive, to tell Moon it'd be okay. He was trying to tell Moon he loves him and they're in this together.
What does Moon do?
Punches Sun in the face. Tells him he's going to kill Sun if he can't keep Eclipse under control (The same code he could not control). He outright called him stupid. Because if Moon back then could get Sun to hit him back?
That means Sun is a liar and it'd be okay to dismantle him. To punish him. Because Moon can't feel good in a situation or feel in control unless he's punishing Sun in some way.
Does he still feel or think this way? I'm not sure. I'm really not sure.
I think he genuinely is spiraling because he really didn't mean to hurt Sun and imply he was useless. But that's exactly what he did.
Moon needs to apologize and mean it.
Here's the kicker, Sun doesn't have to forgive him. Sun I hope doesn't. Moon can't learn without consequences.
Terra wasn't required to forgive Cosmos after he crippled her. Sun shouldn't have to forgive Moon for breaking promise after promise.
Moon explicitly is choosing to break his promises despite EVERYONE telling him he's in the wrong and he still can't fathom WHY Sun would be justifiably upset.
How is Sun supposed to genuinely trust his brother now?
He can't. Why should he ever again?
Moon doesn't understand he's shown how absolutely untrustworthy he is. He needs perspective on that. I hope instead of lashing out like a hateful and ignorant child that he'll actually for once pull his head out of his rear end and actually try to listen to what Sun is screaming at him.
BloodMoon, the canon cannibal that's murdered hundreds of people, treats their sibling better then how Moon treats Sun. When the crazy cannibal character can be kinder to their own twin that should raise a big red flag to Moon.
This is just a side note, but to all the Moon stans and Moon kins, this is not an attack at all but how can you sit and watch the same show as me...and say Sun is in the wrong for acting out? How can you look at what Moon said and did and still take Moon's side?
Are Moon stans/kins genuinely okay?
Do they even have...friends IRL?
The way some Moon stans/kins talk just...it comes off like they see themself in Moon and I'm like, why do you personally align yourself with an abuser? A person who is perpetuating manipulation? Emotional abuse? Someone who's actively choosing to hurt someone they love...for the sake of hurting them?
They're the type to blame the victim, like how Moon is in canon. I don't begrudge anyone for liking Moon, I like Moon. However, I can't ever look at what he's doing and done and say "yeah he's valid for it"
He's absolutely not???
There's a really big difference between reading problematic media and liking a problematic character for being well written and interesting versus SEEING YOURSELF as said character.
Moon stans, I'm not attacking you or anyone, you can like what you like....
But when you defend Moon it truly gives the vibes of those people who hear about someone being r***d and ask, "WhAt wErE tHeY wEaRiNg?"
Moon stans/kins...you genuinely give the energy of people who hear about a girlfriend being beaten to death by her psycho boyfriend and ask "WhAt DiD sHe dO To dEsErVe tHat? LMAO"
Moon stans/kins, you give off victim blaming mentality...and I have to just ask, are you all okay? Some don't even see Moon as abusive? When he was??? We watched the same episodes.
Do Moon shaped lenses blind you to all his mistakes?
Wanted to do a video analysis of this part of Moon's Memory Crisis. It had to be trimmed down so I could post it but the vital points I wanted to make are all here. I also just wanted to give a reminder that Sun was also the only one to bring Moon to his room and try to console him when Moon needed a breather.
Sun clearly still cares for Moon even despite all they've been through. Him accepting Moon's request isn't a display of apathy, it's him realizing it's what Moon needed to hear and saying it to calm him down. But if push ever does come to shove, Sun will not take it well. Especially if it's forced upon him to pull the trigger AGAIN.
And after seeing Moon and Sun's first meeting again, I can clearly understand why the thought of becoming that again is so stressful to Moon. He doesn't want to see his brother cowering on the floor, shrinking back in fear just at the sound of Moon's rage and his wrath. Sun realized that and he put Moon's wishes before his own feelings.
Bloodmoon has stated on multiple occasions that they are nothing but a blood-loving murderous murderer with no depth beyond that, and even the writers and other characters on the show highlight how one-note Bloodmoon is. BUT! Also, at the same time, I was also thinking about ANOTHER character who views themselves (and other people around them) as one dimensional with little to no depth.
Jax.
Now I'm not good at analysis, but as far as I can see, the reason Jax views everything as one-note is because it makes his situation hurt less. Pretending that everyone is one note and there's no depth beyond that makes the environment more digestible, and it helps Jax cope with the reality of living in the circus. If he treats it all as a game with bad character archetypes or one-note facades, then he doesn't have to face the reality that real people with real issues and problems are trapped in a place with no escape. That includes himself.
So this got me thinking, does Bloodmoon do this same thing? Maybe not with other people, like Jax does, but maybe with just themselves. They have to paint themselves as one note, they have to be just a blood-crazed killer, because this is who they are, this is ALL they are. To think that there is any depth beyond that? To think they ever cared for KC, to think they ever wanted to take Sun's offer to become better, to think they'd ever want to be redeemed by Foxy? Absurd, because one-note villains don't have that kind of depth.
They were built for bloodshed after all, it's ingrained into their code. What else could they possibly do beyond that?
Do you ever think that maybe Bloodmoon DID want another chance?
But by then, where they were now, it was already too late?
Idk I think it's neat to think about
@h-didanart you're the main Bloodmoon lore-er I know, so tell me your thoughts lol
It's so interesting how we may never know who Ruin actually is in the sense that he's put up so many different masks and told so many lies that it's hard to tell what's the truth and what's an act. We've seen Ruin as an eccentric villain, anxious and "cured," and "sociopathic" Ruin who wiped out thousands of dimensions for what he deemed as the greater good.
Ruin has put up so many different masks and personalities that its hard for anyone in the cast, or the viewer, to be able to tell what's true and what's not and that's so incredibly interesting to me. Who exactly is the true Ruin? At this point, we may never know. But it would be wonderful to see those masks shatter and have the true Ruin revealed to us, even for a little while

*SLAMS RANT ABOUT ECLIPSE'S PSYCHOLOGY AGAINST TABLE AND LEAVES*
[BRO I'M SORRY BUT I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING AT THIS LMAOO XDDD LIKE, BRO, I CAN BE SO FUNNY AND COMEDY GOLD SOMETIMES, Y'ALL GIVE ME A STAGE CUZ THIS GIRL GOTTA HAVE A CROWD 😭🙏 Just a joke :3]
In MY interpretation that doesn't HAVE to be YOURS and is NOT CANON and MADE out of FUN and NOT malice [LMAO I SOUND LIKE A LAWYER WHO KNOWS IS WRONG BUT TRIES TO EXCUSE A CRIMINAL XD], Eclipse is able to experience some empathy and care. However, there is a twist: It’s nothing more than some form of pseudo-empathy and care one could describe as falling out of the bunch that align with social norms and are the expected normality.
Here is my reasoning:
During the time he was with Lunar, he "cared" about him. Due to his immense fear of showing vulnerability that would be used against him, however, he has never actively shown it. He simply expected Lunar to pick up on that. But once Lunar turned him his back, he suddenly stopped caring, as if it seemingly got thrown out the window. Why? Because he only cared about Lunar because he was a source for him to push his own ego. It was a source for him to pull him out of the miserable state he had been caged in, to assure himself that he wasn’t weak and powerless, and to feed into his superiority complex that he uses as a shield. He actually didn’t care to make Lunar feel good – This was a thought that barely, and if, only rarely crossed his mind – it was about to make himself feel good. To bring it to the point: It was self-interest. Lunar was obedient, a small little puppet he could move around like a chess piece – One that he could control and dominate, in a way. That was the point: He could CONTROL him. It gave him this sense of power, but especially control he so desperately craves, which evolved into a form of complicated pseudo-care. With self-interest, however, persisting. It’s almost an obsession of his, one could say. Since the beginning of his life, when he cracked his eyes the first time open and was met with the pinky swirls and flowing clouds of an endless, echoing and isolating mindscape, he hadn’t felt in control. And he WASN’T in control. He didn’t have ANY control, any power, not even scraps of it which he could cling onto. He was helpless, like a newborn puppy abandoned on the cold and rainy street. This is why he tries to REGAIN control and power – And he got this through Lunar. But eventually, as Lunar betrayed him, this control and power slipped from his hands – And so his pseudo-care.
But he thought that he cared at the beginning. He doesn't seem to understand himself and makes assumptions of how he is supposed to be.
His pseudo-empathy, or fake empathy, is like the psychological definition: The understanding of the thoughts, feelings, or emotional state of another person, but without identification, care or urge to improve their condition. Sure, he sometimes can feel a bit of empathy for someone, but he also singles out some people and simply doesn’t care or either uses it to HIS advantage. He has a skill in manipulation, knows how to use a person’s emotional state to his advantage. His impulsivity leads him to act immediately upon his desires most of the time, and question his actions/choices later - But ONLY around people he has this pseudo-care about.
Remorse is also a complicated thing for him. It has a similarity with his pseudo-empathy: He singles out the people who he simply doesn’t ‘care’ about and could do the most monstrous things to and brush it off like it was nothing out of the ordinary. Example: Moondrop.
However, when it’s about Lunar, we already discussed how he has pseudo-care when it comes to him. So, like how we saw in the aftermath of slapping him, he will question himself, or even feel a bit bad – But it won’t last long. It’s like a feeling that nags at him for a moment or two but ultimately brushes past him. It’s also because he convinces himself that he didn’t do anything wrong, denies any involvement, to not confront that he, too, can make mistakes, and most importantly: That he can have soft spots and vulnerabilities, though he tries to keep it shut.
Remember that this is all just interpretation and speculation, which means it's subjective and made out of silly fun! :D You can share your interpretations as well, I'd love to read them! :D

Bloodmoon Twins Personality Analysis - The Sun and Moon Show
Disclaimer, this analysis was made 01/28/2024 and is copy-pasted from the original (me) source on Discord in TSBS server. I have a thread there.
Thoughts under the cut.
Okay so some small disclaimers, while Bloodmoon themselves are technically one entity, we all know they are also two separate AIs so I did do some small analysis on the separate AI. Blood refers to the main AI who is in control of the body most of the time (more ruthless, impulsive, bloodthirsty), and Harvest refers to the second AI who is, according to Blood, sleeping most of the time (more logical, analytic, and emotionally aware). I cover them individually here before doing a broader and more in-depth analysis of them together.
Blood (The Original AI)
Blood is driven by an instinctual need for blood, which manifests as a strong desire to kill. This bloodlust is a defining trait, often influencing their actions and decisions. Blood harbors deep-seated hatred and distrust, particularly due to Ruin's manipulation. Past experiences with deceitful kindness have led to a strong aversion to any form of compassion or assistance. Due to Ruin's manipulation, Blood reacts poorly to kindness, perceiving it as a ploy to use them. Their skepticism towards helping hands stems from a history of betrayal and deceit. Initially, Blood shared a connection with Lunar due to their common origin under Eclipse's creation. However, this dynamic shifted to hatred after learning that Lunar was rebuilt before them, and Monty had no intention of rebuilding the twins. Blood exhibits manipulative behavior, shown in their ability to trick and manipulate individuals, as seen in their interactions with Trashcan Man. Blood's resistance to reprogramming is considered due to the fear of potential erasure or further psychological damage. The complexities of their current state make the reprogramming process a risky endeavor. Blood faces emotional struggles resulting from the internal conflict between their bloodlust instincts and potential for redemption. The lack of a support system contributes to difficulties in overcoming these struggles. Despite Ruin's role in their revival, Blood's feelings towards him are complex, reflecting a mix of manipulation, betrayal, and potential loyalty.
Harvest (The Adaption)
Harvest, like Blood, exhibits a strong instinctual bloodlust, driven by a desire for killing. This primal urge influences their actions and decisions, making them a formidable and dangerous character. Harvest displays a more complex emotional range compared to Blood, possibly influenced by their interactions and experiences. Despite being labeled as "stupid" by certain characters, Harvest demonstrates intellectual capacity in his own way. Knowledge of escape plans, tactics in dealing with Eclipse, and other strategic elements showcase a level of intelligence. Harvest exhibits manipulation skills, particularly shown in their ability to trick and manipulate individuals, as seen in their interactions with Trashcan Man. Harvest demonstrates the ability to pretend to be Moon for a short duration, showcasing a level of acting skills. While not perfect, their attempt at impersonation suggests a degree of versatility in their behavior. Harvest possesses remarkable physical agility, demonstrated in their leaping abilities and skills in combat, including dodging attacks from Eclipse. The combination of fighting skills and agility makes them a formidable opponent. Similar to Blood, Harvest's relationship with Lunar is influenced by shared origins under Eclipse's creation.
Okay now that we're done with the basic rundown of them separately lets do them together
Bloodmoon
Bloodlust and Violence - Bloodmoon experiences an intense and almost primal craving for blood. This desire is portrayed as a fundamental part of their nature, akin to a physiological need. The urge for violence and bloodshed is depicted as overwhelming and challenging to control. Bloodmoon often succumbs to these urges, leading to aggressive and destructive behavior. The desire for blood is often described as a compelling need, suggesting that it goes beyond mere preference or inclination. This need manifests in a strong drive to engage in violent actions. Metaphors such as "thirst" and "hunger" are used to convey the intensity of these desires. This language paints a vivid picture of Bloodmoon's cravings as essential, like an insatiable appetite. The violent tendencies extend beyond a mere desire for blood; there is an emphasis on the act of causing harm and engaging in physical violence. Bloodmoon is portrayed as actively seeking out opportunities for aggression. Bloodmoon's bloodlust is presented as a product of both their inherent nature and the environment in which they were created. Ruin's programming and manipulation play a crucial role in amplifying these tendencies. The absence of a proper support system, in contrast to the original Moon and Kill Code, contributes to the heightened and uncontrolled nature of Bloodmoon's bloodlust. The lack of influences that might deter violent behavior allows these instincts to dominate. Bloodmoon's manipulative tactics, observed in interactions with characters like Trashcan, may serve as a means to satisfy their bloodlust. Manipulation could be a strategy to create scenarios conducive to violence. The persistent and intense nature of Bloodmoon's bloodlust implies a significant psychological impact. This aspect of their personality is not merely a preference but a driving force that influences their actions and decisions.
Origins and Environmental Influence - Bloodmoon's origin is linked to Eclipse, who played a pivotal role in their creation. The specific details of how and why Eclipse created them contribute significantly to their nature and purpose. Ruin's influence on Bloodmoon's programming is highlighted. They are portrayed as tools designed for a specific purpose, emphasizing functionality over emotional or ethical considerations. This utilitarian perspective has a profound impact on their behavior. Unlike animatronics with more comprehensive emotional programming, Bloodmoon is presented as lacking certain higher cognitive functions. This absence contributes to their perceived "stupidity" and affects their ability to empathize. Bloodmoon's psyche is deeply affected by Ruin's manipulative tactics and deceit. The environment created by Ruin involves a web of lies and half-truths, leading to a distorted understanding of reality for Bloodmoon. The contrast between being treated as tools and the emotional complexity seen in other characters highlights the unique nature of Bloodmoon's programming. This dichotomy raises questions about the ethical considerations behind their creation. The relationship with Lunar, being built by the same creator (Eclipse), implies shared origins. However, the differences in how Lunar and Bloodmoon were rebuilt and treated compared to Bloodmoon contribute to feelings of resentment and conflict. The environmental influence becomes a critical factor in understanding Bloodmoon's bloodlust and violent tendencies. The lack of emotional support, coupled with manipulative programming, amplifies their aggressive instincts. Bloodmoon's creation is portrayed as aligning with Ruin's intentions. This alignment serves Ruin's plans, emphasizing that Bloodmoon is a means to an end rather than an entity with an individual agency.
Trust Issues and Manipulation - Bloodmoon's trust issues are deeply rooted in the manipulation they experienced from Ruin. Ruin's deceptive tactics and lies create a pervasive atmosphere of mistrust, making it difficult for Bloodmoon to rely on others. If there was any initial trust in Eclipse, the revelation of being manipulated or used as a tool likely shattered that trust. Learning about Eclipse's role in their creation and the subsequent rebuilding of Lunar without the same treatment intensifies feelings of betrayal. Trust issues have a profound impact on Bloodmoon's relationships with other animatronics. The difficulty in trusting others impedes the development of meaningful connections and cooperation. Ruin's use of kindness as a manipulative tool contributes to Bloodmoon's aversion to kindness from others. Any act of goodwill may be perceived as a potential manipulation, making it challenging for them to accept genuine gestures. Solar's upfront and honest approach is acknowledged as a factor that may have contributed to Bloodmoon allowing Solar to help. The clarity of intentions helps bridge the gap in trust, showcasing that transparency can influence their willingness to cooperate. The narrative suggests that Ruin plays a significant role in shaping Bloodmoon's trust issues. Whether it's through intentional programming or environmental influence, Ruin's actions have lasting consequences on how Bloodmoon perceives trust. Trust issues manifest in paranoia and skepticism. Bloodmoon becomes vigilant and wary of others' motives, questioning the authenticity of interactions and second-guessing the intentions of those around them. The absence of a reliable emotional support system exacerbates trust issues. Unlike animatronics with strong bonds or friendships, Bloodmoon's isolation intensifies their struggles with trusting others. Trust issues can significantly impact decision-making. Bloodmoon may be inclined to act defensively, anticipating betrayal or manipulation, which could influence their choices and actions throughout the narrative. Trust issues can serve as a compelling aspect of character development. Overcoming these challenges may lead to personal growth and a more nuanced understanding of relationships, providing opportunities for redemption or reconciliation.
Responses to Kindness - Bloodmoon, due to their past experiences and manipulations, initially responds to kindness with skepticism. Kind gestures may be met with suspicion, as they have learned to be cautious about the intentions behind such actions. Bloodmoon is opposed to being treated with pity. Their response to kindness might include a rejection of sympathy or expressions of understanding, as they prefer to be acknowledged on their terms rather than as objects of pity. Bloodmoon's past encounters with manipulation make them prone to misinterpreting genuine kindness. Acts of goodwill might be seen as potential traps or attempts to control them, leading to defensive responses. The narrative hints that Solar's upfront and honest approach might have influenced Bloodmoon's willingness to accept help. Solar's transparency contrasts with the deceptive tactics they experienced, making it a key factor in their responses to kindness. Kindness can evoke complex emotions within Bloodmoon. While they may have an innate desire for connection and understanding, their past trauma and programming create a conflicting internal struggle between accepting kindness and resisting vulnerability. Despite their initial reservations, there might be an underlying desire for authentic connection and acceptance. Bloodmoon, like any sentient being, may long for genuine relationships but struggles to navigate the complexities of trust. The responses to kindness play a pivotal role in shaping Bloodmoon's relationships with other characters. Genuine acts of kindness, if recognized and reciprocated, could potentially pave the way for deeper connections and alliances. Bloodmoon may reject unearned sympathy, preferring to be treated based on their actions and choices rather than receiving kindness solely because of their traumatic past or current predicament. How Bloodmoon responds to kindness becomes a crucial element in their character arc. In the future, positive responses and a gradual opening up to genuine connections may indicate a path toward redemption and personal growth. This theme of responses to kindness introduces the possibility of character evolution. Over time, Bloodmoon's reactions may evolve, reflecting a shifting perspective on trust, connection, and the potential for positive change.
Psychological Impacts - Ruin's manipulations have a significant impact on Bloodmoon's psyche. The intentional programming to serve as a tool and the deceptive tactics employed by Ruin contribute to shaping Bloodmoon's perception of trust, reality, and their own identity. Bloodmoon's lack of a supportive environment or trustworthy companions exacerbates the psychological impact of their experiences. Unlike Old Moon, who had allies and friends, Bloodmoon is isolated, contributing to feelings of abandonment and vulnerability. Bloodmoon's internal conflict and struggle with identity are prominent psychological aspects. The juxtaposition of their original selves with the manipulated version creates an internal battle, questioning who they were, who they have become, and whether redemption is possible. The innate bloodlust and violent tendencies programmed into Bloodmoon's nature have a profound psychological impact. The struggle to resist these urges, coupled with the consequences of succumbing to them, adds layers of complexity to their mental state. The psychological impact is also influenced by Bloodmoon's connection to Lunar and Eclipse. The dynamics with these characters, including feelings of betrayal, hatred, or possible remnants of familial bonds, contribute to the emotional turmoil within Bloodmoon. Bloodmoon's reactions to Eclipse and Kill Code provide insights into the psychological trauma inflicted upon them. The separation from Kill Code, the influence of Eclipse, and the eventual return of the Kill Code present challenges to Bloodmoon's mental stability. Trust issues and an overarching sense of suspicion are core elements of the psychological impact. Bloodmoon's experiences with manipulation and deception make it difficult for them to trust others, influencing their interactions and decision-making. The internal struggle for control, particularly when the Kill Code takes over, showcases the psychological battles fought within Bloodmoon's mind. This struggle contributes to moments of chaos, conflict, and the potential for externalizing their internal torment.
Intellectual Capabilities - Despite their violent tendencies, Bloodmoon displays a form of cunning and tactical thinking in various situations. This is evident in their ability to escape from pursuers, formulate plans for dealing with adversaries like Eclipse, and utilize their environment to their advantage during confrontations. Bloodmoon's intelligence is notably reflected in their skill at evading capture and hiding effectively. Whether crawling through pipes or utilizing the Pizzaplex's layout to their advantage, they demonstrate an understanding of escape and evasion strategies that contribute to their survival. One aspect of Bloodmoon's intellectual capabilities involves a deep understanding of torture methods. This knowledge goes beyond mere aggression, indicating a more calculated approach to inflicting pain. Their proficiency in various torture techniques suggests a strategic and calculated mindset. Bloodmoon showcases an ability to recognize emotional manipulation, particularly in their response to kindness. Their past experiences, particularly with Ruin's manipulation, have made them wary of kindness being a facade. This awareness implies a level of emotional intelligence, allowing them to see through deceptive gestures. Bloodmoon's skill in replicating the voices of certain animatronics demonstrates a form of audio-based intelligence. This talent could be employed for deception, manipulation, or strategic communication, showcasing a multifaceted approach to problem-solving. Given their connection to lunar eclipses and celestial themes, Bloodmoon displays a level of comprehension regarding these cosmic elements. This understanding adds a layer of complexity to their character, showcasing an intellectual engagement with celestial phenomena beyond their violent tendencies. Bloodmoon exhibits a capacity for manipulation and trickery, as seen in their interactions with Trashcan. Their ability to deceive and lure others into games highlights a strategic and manipulative side, indicating a level of psychological intelligence. In combat situations, Bloodmoon demonstrates adaptive intelligence. Their ability to dodge attacks, counter adversaries like Eclipse, and employ diverse fighting techniques reveals a keen sense of adaptability and strategic thinking in high-pressure situations. Bloodmoon's awareness of environmental influences on their behavior, as seen in their reaction to lunar eclipses, suggests a level of self-awareness and introspection. This recognition adds depth to their character, showcasing an intellectual capacity to understand the impact of external factors on their animatronic nature.
Something I personally don't see talked about enough is Lunar's trauma with Eclipse.

Imagine, the first person you know, the person who's been practically hardwired into your brain to trust, taking all that love and trust you gave them, and shattering it. But you don't know that's not normal, you're new to this world. You've never experienced anything else so you just deal with it. It hurts, you know it hurts, but you don't know anything else so its "normal". But then you learn. You learn it's not normal. And that person isn't supposed to hurt you. You try to leave, rebel, do anything to get away, but it just makes things worse. More physical, more mentally damaging, more painful.
But then finally. You're free.
But you're not.
Because that person keeps coming back, keeps returning to fuck up the life you've finally started living.
Then, your trapped. Trapped in a world where your abuser, takes over and hurts more then just you. They hurt the people close to you, the people who saved you from them.
But you can't leave. And you can't do anything about the people suffering. You may no longer be trapped anymore, but they still are. Going through what you went through.
Things calm down for a bit, enough to where you let your guard down again, and you think your free.
But then they turn on you. Someone, who loved you all that time, starts acting like your abuser. Your trust, shattered again by someone you trusted. Even just looking at this person hurt, because they looked like them.
And you hear the voice of your abuser.
Talking to you, saying your name.
Running away doesn't do shit, because when you think you're safe, they keep coming back again.
Thats the shit Lunar has been going through this entire damn show. And it pisses me off seeing people dismiss his trauma, because I'm in a situation like his.
