With Aisās scene, that totally checks out. At the time, heās allowing you to believe your life is under threat in order to get honest information out of you. Itās an interrogation. He wants you to feel uneasy as a tactic, he admits as much afterwards.

I do not trust Leander w the information about the MCās hands like at all!! like, I just figured that the information about the hands was payment for the room because knowledge is currency and whatever butā¦ other than thatā¦ what is he going to do w that information.
