the most autistic thing i've done in these goddamn novels is create a form of communication (telepathy) that specifically shows some of the intentions/emotions of the person communicating

Most of the Truth Saga's MCs met as children. They grew up together in an experimental facility where they were subject to The Worst Everything and kind of have a permanent bond with one another because of it.
How those people met the Moores, however -- that is, the two MCs of Reckless Truth is a little more complicated. Lydia and Elyan Moore are exploring the disappearence of their brother 20 years ago, and their paths collide with the facility's in the midst of unexpected conflict...

Is there anything you put in your story specifically to make someone (it can be yourself) laugh? If so, what is it?

That's a really tough question actually! My writing style is a bit of a mindless trance until I'm in editing so I really had to think back.
I don't know about laugh but there's definitely a couple of small moments I put in Reckless Truth with the intention of making @smallvillecrows smile. I put a lot of little references to stories we told together with these characters before I sold out decided to novelise them!
Other than that there's a handful of exchanges I hope will be humorous! I always enjoy drunk!Lydia's endless list of bro-based puns and there's a cute cozy family scene in Bitter Truth that I adored writing <3
