I did some research into what a true Warrior is when prepping for our tv show WARRIOR and I’m reminded of it now with all that is going on in the world.....Warriorship has as its goal healing and growth. Becoming a true Warrior is an achievement of character. The true Warrior protects the vulnerable among us and is a servant of civilization and its future. The true Warrior is compassionate and takes responsibility for his/her/their choices. They are adaptable and focused and have an attitude of persistence. The Warrior is devoted to a cause greater than themselves or any personal gain. They know that life is precious and fragile so they do not abuse it. A Warrior has the discipline to change their behavior for the sake of honorable ends and strive to be the best they can be. The Warrior’s path is one of service - they choose to fight for their communities to preserve the honor and dignity of those around them. They interact with people and can work together with others or alone, but they always battle with a whole heart. They master themselves to overcome weakness of character and personal desire. They embrace a journey of self discovery for their own enlightenment but also to benefit others. A society is not healthy without its warriors........There are those among us who are about to lose their jobs and their health, who are not going to know how they are going to eat their next meals or stay in their homes if that happens. We need to do what we can, as we can for one another. Where the opportunity presents itself to be kind and generous and helpful, we need to show up for it. We need to be warriors right now. That’s what a Warrior does. That’s what a Warrior is. Any act, however small, taken to positively benefit the lives of those who need help is an act of warriorship.
