Here is another example.  Robin’s conversation with Will Scarlet proves that the quest for true love can be rocky, have ups and downs, but is worth the fight.  When Will is talking, all I can think about is Hook & Emma’s journey:

Will’s conversation broken down to relate to CaptainSwan (this is the only therapy I’ve found for my bleeding CS heart and to keep me patient while I wait until next weekend :D)

1st part of Will & Robin’s speech:

“I chose my path, sometimes even when you win, you lose.”

Emma & Killian won in Camelot, they got the pieces, the spark, and were going to put the sword together but unfortunately, due to Killian’s bravery & heroism, Emma lost.  She was so close to ridding herself of the darkness and achieving the happy ending she craved but Hook was lost to her.

“She made me the man I am today Will, I need to remember that.”

Killian is in the fight of his life right now, fighting for his own soul.  I can’t even imagine what it would be like to hate something your entire life, spend your entire existence fighting something, only to find out you’ve been turned into it.  Not only that knowledge, but how he found out.  If Emma had been able to tell him, you know she would have explained everything, done it gently, and Killian would have accepted it.  Unfortunately, the one and only WICKED Zelena had to spill the secret in her own twisted way that allowed the darkness to cloud Killian’s mind before he was able to process why Emma did what she did.

I know for a fact Hook would have understood if Emma had explained it to him calmly but that wouldn’t make for a very exciting show now would it.  Now we get to see our heroes turned Dark fight for each other through the most evil curse imaginable.....and come out the other side stronger than ever.  Killian will eventually remember the man he wants to be for Emma...

 the man she sees in him, and THAT MY FOLKS is what is going to break the darkness inside both of them, his reminder of his love for her and that she is his happy ending.

“There’s good in him, and when you see the good in someone, you don’t give up on them, especially if they don’t see it in themselves.”

This is what they have done for each other, they have seen the good in each other and not given up over and over again....

“And if you are lucky enough to ever find true love, you have to fight for it every day.”

“If you find someone you love enough to ruin your entire life for, it’s always worth it.”

And so she did, she ruined her entire life.  She accepted the darkness fully, knew the man she loved would hate her for filling him with darkness but she did it anyway, for her future, her happy ending.  It. was. worth. it.

She did it because she couldn’t live without him.  Her life, her future would be nothing without him.  In Emma’s heartbreaking words, “That’s not enough for me!”  

As I re-watch these episodes that lead toward the inevitable death of our beloved Captain, I keep finding these moments that give me hope, that point toward the direction of a happy ending for our very own savior.
