Oh, god, they hadn’t seem him either. If there was ever a time to let lose some of the worse words he knew, it would have to be right now. But he composed himself. Surely…surely the call! Why hadn’t he thought to call?
Perhaps because Paps was always around. Everyone could always tell you where he was, because when he walked by, you generally remembered for one reason or other.
But now Papyrus was missing. No one in Snowdin had seen him. Undyne hadn’t seen him. And he himself certainly hadn’t.
But then he didn’t pick up, and panic squeezed at him. He’d even talked to Alphys, but she said she hadn’t seen him on the cameras.
“ heh…looks…looks like he gave us the split, huh? ” He said, attempting for some cheer. “ m-maybe he’s out in…in waterfall? signal can be spotty there… ”
Oh man, Sans was panicking too, they could see him tensing up and hear him begin to stutter. They had a bad feeling that he wasn’t around Waterfall, but if he was, there were a few really good hiding places around the sparkling caves that they knew of. They’d explored those tunnels so many times, Petals knew the place by heart now.
Another idea came to mind though, even though their phone idea hadn’t worked out. ‘What if we asked Alphys to track where his phone is? Even if he doesn’t have it, if we find it we might get a clue about where he last was.’
Alphys could do anything with a phone, she’d made it so Petals’ phone could be a jetpack of all things! Surely tracking a phone signal would be a breeze for her, and if they found something, it’d give them a better idea of where to look.
They really hoped that idea might work, seeing Sans panic was really upsetting to them, and the child came closer to offer a small hug. Papyrus being mysteriously gone was already very worrying...
