Mixing high and low for this gorgeous spring day in LA! Got to meet my sweet blog buddy @jeansandateacup for lunch today and the weather was glorious!!! I am loving the retro 70s vibe of this dress - I fell in love the minute I saw it! It gives me all the Anthro feels without the hefty price tag (it was less than $30). I paired it with these ring toe black sandals to play off the washed black shade of the dress and also to keep it not so girly (they also come in that fabulous marigold color 🙌🏼 swipe left). Topped with my vintage Chloe bag - I think this may have been their first ever saddle bag - for that perfect boho vibe. I have a new obsession with green! Saw so many cute pieces out shopping today - dresses, skirts, tops, oh my! If you keep a minimalist capsule wardrobe and don’t want to take the plunge on a trend, a pop of color in a shoe or accessory (think earrings, a belt or a cute bag!) is the perfect way to try something new - especially under $25! Of course I had to add yet another pair of gladiators into the mix because a) they never go out of style and b) they were under $25! #shoeaddict #nobrainer. This congnac pair is super versatile and neutral and since they have a tougher edge, rather than dainty, it perfectly dresses down any outfit that’s too girly! I’ve been buying a lot more flats lately because of how many cute options there are out there. I usually shy away from flats because I’m curvy and have short legs. I’m starting to finally be ok with that! Never mind those antiquated rules - if you love it and they make you happy, you get it and enjoy! My rule for styling is have no rules when it comes to your shape! I’m slowly trying to rewire my brain to not focus so much on the way I look. I’m my own worst critic when it comes to my body and self image. Currently on a LONG ASS DRIVE to Lake Arrowhead to pick up Warren’s car and literally drive right back.
