Can we hear a bit about your Dottie ships? :)

Firstly, Dottie and Agnes. I’m gonna start out by saying that I think if there’s anyone who would be like, “yeah I’m bisexual but I’m not worrying about that right now it would be her”
Her bulimia and insecurities are totally separate from it, when she divorces Sterling (name for Mr Trophywife) and has some time to think she’s kind of just like “oh, ok”
She and Agnes both have a taste for the finer things in life in another life they would make wonderful dual income no kids rich aunties, besides the fact they’re not good with kids like at all LOL
I think seeing how Agnes’ trauma effects her so intensely would honestly scare her a little but they could relate to each other with the feeling of not feeling really at home within their own bodies, neither has to necessarily UNLEARN being their judgmental selves but they have more of an understanding of when it’s ok to be vulnerable and open.
Dottie x Arielle (name for Ms. Secondopinionson by @sinvilles ) functions under a similar concept. Also operates under the headcanon that Arielle is a trans woman.
For those two I think Dot would be so fascinated by the concept of someone wanting to BE a woman, like in her ignorance and all they too can bond. Arielle’s changes to her body was healthy and helped her love it more which is an option Dottie wouldn’t have been in a position to consider in her marriage with Sterling.
This also comes down to the way we see Ari interact with Joe, she doesn’t bullshit a person because they’re traumatized or whatever, Florence stood up to her but I wouldn’t even call this that. Ari is just being honest with her. Dottie can trust that when she feels vulnerable enough to ask her questions about her appearance she won’t be sugar coated and she won’t be negged or maybe insulted like she was with her ex.
