I thought this was a really sweet gesture by Poppy towards Branch. She looked past his outwardly hurtful words (Aren't you going to leave me eventually anyway?) and recognized that he was hurting. She could have retaliated or walked off but she didn't. She didn't even frown or scowl at him.
