I... I never thought anyone would be interested in my OCs, I think I’m going to faint 😳😳😳

I’ve posted some info about him before, but you know? I didn’t want to spam my followers’ dashes with info they might not be interested in, so I thought it would be best if I stayed quiet. Also, I never know what to talk about, answering questions is a hundred times easier than coming up with random info by myself, you can ask as much as you want!

And as a gift, I’ll share some more info about him:

He’s an Aries, born on April 17th

Becomes chuunin at 17. His teammates, Satoko and Satomi, passed the exam a couple of years before him.

His favorite food is pumpkin.

His first kiss was actually with Satomi, during a mission.

Has a great chakra control and that allows him to learn basic medical ninjutsu.

He’s a bit paranoid that he’s being chased by people whose name starts with Sa (his parents, Satsuma and Sanae, his teammates, Satoko and Satomi, and yes, Konohamaru doesn’t start with Sa but his last name is Sarutobi)

Still wears two of his father’s earrings because Konohamaru only bought a pair of new ones for him instead of four.

Poisonous vines are his signature plants. Because he learned the clan jutsus by himself, he has a totally different style to the rest of the clan.

And when it comes to teaching the techniques to his cousin and his nephew he’s really good at it despite he looks aggressive and impatient. He gives them the freedom to develop their own styles and use the plants they feel more familiar and comfortable with.

Omg yeah the Akatsuki hair dye incident legit came to me in a dream lol. And like the akatsuki are just at each other’s throat about hair dye. Particularly deidara and itachi. I’m having so much fun with it. 

The traveling with sasuke one is actually a more serious fic (though, let’s be real - I can’t write anything serious to say my life so it has funny moments) that is naruto traveling with sasuke on his journey. and they’re struggling with themselves. so it’s basically a slownburn hurt/comfort fic

Wow. Thank you for writing this. It was packed with emotions and was almost painful to read. You write so well, I’m in awe. I too loved to see his thoughts last chapter. I love that he isn’t some super human. He has flaws justified like all of us, but he is fighting to overcome them and that is more than most can say.

Yes! I love that Hak is revealed to not just be a super human killing machine, neither is he someone put on a pedestal. For the longest time, I felt his character extremely dry. He was really really attractive to write at the beginning because look it’s a male protagonist that isn’t controlling and really loves unconditionally -  but fic wise, there’s only so much backstory to fill his reasons for being that way. When Kusanagi started showing that Hak has been hurt, it took only recent chapters to show WHY he went berserk. And it’s beautiful that it’s because he wants to protect, and wants to try to control his emotions. And it scared me, because it bordered on almost hating himself in comparing himself to Yona and Jae-ha.

So, the Yasai clan jutsu is a type of Yang release jutsu that makes grow special seeds that respond to the the Yasai clan members’ chakra. It doesn’t work with normal plants and can’t create plants out of nowhere like Wood release does. They have a large repertoire of seeds, selected through the years to be most adequate for cultivating and for battle, and similarly to the artificial selection of the Brassica oleracea, clan members with a fine chakra control can even select which part of a plant they want to develop more.

Focusing on the battle seeds, the most used ones are tree seeds. The Yasai clan is closely tied to the Nara clan (you know, there’s always a shadow under a tree), and have supported the Ino-Shika-Chou trio for generations. This is why growing tree structures is the most common technique. They can use them as a shield, as a way of restricting the target (for example, by creating a box structure with the trees or hollow trunks), and to cast a shadow that helps a Nara clan member to elongate their shadow.  

They use vines for restriction and root systems to locate chakra too, but it’s not as common as trees.

For why Ichigo is different, I tried to show it in the diagram below.

His main plant is poisonous thorned vines. He got the idea of adding poison when he saw how shinobi in Suna use it in their puppets and weapons. He uses them for restriction of a target, poisoning, and attack.

Since he doesn’t work hand in hand with an Ino-Shika-Chou trio, he doesn’t use trees as much, and if he uses them it’s for protection only.

Ichigo is not skilled in using plants underground, so instead of using a root system to locate chakra, he came up with the idea of using a sunflower that turns in the direction of the detected chakra source. Good things: he doesn’t have to be constantly supplying chakra to the plant. Bad things: only gives a direction, not a precise location, and has a more limited range of use than root systems.

On a side note, Toge, Ichigo’s nephew uses a different style too. He lives in Suna and is more used to desert plants, so he grows cacti to attack and roses of Jericho to detect chakra.

Ringo, Ichigo’s cousin, has learned from him too and is influenced by Ichigo’s techniques, but he focuses on growing crops in the Clan’s lands.

“Don’t cry,” Ayura had told her. Her hand, softer then, held Tetora’s tightly. 

The boy she liked made fun of her boobs, so she broke his nose. He called her ugly and shouted that no one would want a savage woman. 

“I’m not crying,” Tetora said, as she wiped away her tears, “I’m too good for him anyway.” 

It was always Tetora who found herself heart broken, and Ayura would always be there, swordhands more and more calloused, telling her, “don’t cry, Tetora.” 

“I’m not a child anymore, you know,” Tetora would say, “I don’t cry over boys anymore.”

Ayura would nod, and continue to hold her hand. 

Ayura was there when Tetora lost her first lover. A city guard who used to send her flowers and pieces of cheap jewelry, who treated her like a lady and admired her strength, who followed them around like a puppy. He overdosed on Nadai. 

“Don’t cry,” she said, wiping away Tetora’s tears. 

“I’m not crying,” Tetora answered, through gritted teeth, clutching the hair ribbon he had given to her. 

When the blade ran through her abondomen, Tetora thought, It’s over. All she could hope for was for Ayura to get here in time, for her to take Lady Lili and Yona and run. The man raised his sword at Lili and Yona, but Tetora couldn’t move. She couldn’t do anything. 

And as her vision blurred, she remembered Ayura’s calloused hands, holding her own. Ah, was she crying again? She could hear Ayura’s voice, telling her, “don’t cry.” 

She thought, I wish I could see Ayura right now. 

Tetora woke up to the sound of quiet sobbing. It was her lady.

“Hey, I’m okay,” she smiled, raising her hand to wipe away Lady Lili’s tears, “don’t cry.” 

Aya aya, was this what she looked like to Ayura all the time? 

Her hand was clasped tightly in calloused ones, Ayura’s. Ayura, whose eyes were red. 

“I’m not crying,” said their young lady, wiping away her tears.
