Seulgi was excited about the chance to do an evaluation with her girlfriend finally, joining Shiah and some other trainees in doing a cover of a release that a popular girl group had done of one of their songs in China. Seulgi had only learned a few words here or there in Chinese before, so this was a whole new learning experience for her. She threw herself into it, because she knew that it was going to be a fun month, especially since she could study with Shiah (though the other was often quite distracting to Seulgi). She had wanted to work with her on a project ever since the two of them had met, but it seemed like they just couldn’t seem to end up in the same groups when it came time to sign up for monthly evaluations. It was nice to spend more time with her than she normally would get the time to, even if they were both trying to focus on work.
It was difficult, but not quite as difficult as she had maybe expected, jumping into it. She was very familiar with the song, as she was a fan of the group, so that helped with getting the flow of the lyrics down a bit, even with the unfamiliar language. Soon, with the trainer, her girlfriend, and her own good study habits, Seulgi was able to make her way through the song and feel comfortable with the upcoming performance, though she knew she’d have a long way to go if she wanted to do anything else with it.
