Um guys but.. what does it mean “ at 100%”? If the illustration needs to be say 7x9 inches and I’d make it at 7x9 inches at 600 dpi would that mean it’s at 100% ? Might be a silly question again but I’d rather be silly and informed :) Thanks
There are no silly questions! Yes, “at 100%” means it should be 600dpi at 7x9 inches. Which is the same as 1200dpi if it was 3.5 x 4.5″ or 300 dpi if your file is 14 x 18″. I know, the “at 100%” seems like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised. Artists are not great at following directions, so we spell it all out.
