#trigger tags

If somebody has, for example, #tw rape blocked and you tag your post #tw r@pe, THEY WILL SEE IT.

I bet these are the same people who refuse to say "kill" or "dead" on this site and type "uNaliVe(d)" instead because they're too stupid to realize tumblr isn't TikTok.

Also if you censor words in post text, for example before the cut in a fic, things like screen readers and translators will not translate it.

We have the right to unfollow people as we see fit - especially if you push our boundaries and patience

We also get panic attacks sometimes and might unfollow people we're afraid of upsetting - if that's the case, don't worry, please just talk it out with us :)

Awards and chain asks please don't send them they're a lot of pressure to do [and the bomb ones legitimately stress us out] along with please tag reblog bait and chain bait stuff

Do NOT DM us unless you're a mutual or asked to DM [even if we've DM'd before]

Please tag neg vagueposts and self-deprecating posts. We tend to get upset over these or think we have done something so we'd rather not see these

We're fine with vents and love to help our friends, but please ask or warn us since sometimes we can be prickly

Mentions of SA, r*pe, and grooming is a BIG trigger for us. Please always trigger tag anything about it

We have extreme scopophobia, so please tag with #tw scopophobia or our trigger tag for anything with eyes looking at viewer or mentions of being w-tched

Please tag HH n HB stuff. We really wouldn't like to see anything from this fandom, please and thank you

Genshin stuff especially Venti, we will not elaborate

We have a subsystem in our constellation called The Pink Court they ask to tag any ship stuff of Spinel with Penny since Spinel was a daughter to them

Trigger tags for mutuals if you're not a mutual don't worry about it

let's say for example you really hate the mayor from powerpuff girls. seeing his fuckass mustache brings you nothing but rage and agony. but your entire dash seems to be filled with him even after youve blocked the main bloggers of him. so, you go to your beloved tag filtering system and hope to never see that shitty ass mayor again. problem solved, right? no. because theres another mayor-hater in town who hates the mayor SO MUCH they cant even bear to truly spell out his name. so all mayor-related hate posts are tagged with shit like 'm4y0r'. well, easy enough. you dont want to see any mayor content (both malevolent and benign), so you just filter out the 'm4y0r' tag. but what's this?! suddenly the mayors number one fan has begun to 'tag him' for mayor haters thinking that if they censor his name, mayor haters wont be so upset. so now theres hundreds of different combinations of tags. m4yor, may0r, mm44yo0r. all this weird shit you couldnt ever imagine. you try your best to tag all of these influx of mayor posts with tags that try to censor his name, but to no avail. the content settings dont help, because now every post about your favorite character (the mayor from nightmare before christmas) is censored!

this is a friendly reminder that literally nobody on this site is required to trigger tag anything. is it a kind thing to do? yes, for sure! especially for broadly upsetting topics (child death, SA, suicide, self harm, pedophilia, etc). one can even politely ask a blogger to tag a topic that triggers them! but please keep in mind that you are asking, not demanding.

nobody is responsible for curating your internet experience but yourself. if a tumblr user posts something innocuous that’s also distressing to you, you can unfollow them! it’s okay!! but it’s not cool or nice to harrass someone or condemn them as being morally bankrupt for not tagging or saying that they can’t do so after you ask.

not everyone can remember to always tag your triggers. me, personally? i always trigger tag bugs and insects because i have an irl friend with an extreme phobia and tagging them on tumblr helps me remember to not bring them up to him in person. i also will try to tag most of those broader topics listed above…. WHEN I REMEMBER TO. i try to keep my blog as inviting as possible, but i never once have said that it is a 100% safe place for everyone because it never will be. my blog is my own personal space to mess around, and there are hundreds of others that you can go to if you don’t feel comfortable on mine!
