I finally went to check out the Denver @meow__wolf yesterday and it was so cool! My old friends @ancientdigital and @naiya_withthesparkle where visiting so it was a great chance! I know this mother and daughter since the mid 2000s when all we used to go to California reggae festivals. A bit later they invited me to exhibit my art in Seattle at their @tribe13artcollective “Interdimentional Art Shows”, back to when the North American Visionary Art scene was just getting warmed up. Those where very special moments and events for me. So it was great to catch up as we cruised around this super trippy installation art complex! So stoked to see psychedelic culture gaining more momentum in the mainstream, as it’s an attractive bridge into a path of higher vibration and spirit! Since I was recently working in Ukiah, California, I wanted to do this Throwback Thursday about the Solo Exhibition I had there 10 years ago! I can’t believe it’s been a whole decade since my friend Jenn @ancientdigital produced that show at her awesome space @tribe13gallery !! It was so fun to bring down my art collection from Canada, make some installation pieces for it and throw a bunch of events! The opening was super fun with a bunch of artist friends showing up and a dance party that included visuals by my old friend @johnathansingerart . Hey Gem and Jammers! Look for me out there, prob painting a naked girl in space. lol Ill be bringing these large “Surrender 1” and part 2. Look for them in the @tribe13gallery . After that event I’m planning on lowering the number of festivals in 2017. I need to focus my time and energy to studio paintings, (local gigs will be fine) and to exploring Colorado and the World. I’m aware I make a lot of art now, but I know I am capable of so much more, in technical skill and in realistic anatomy paintings.
