So here's a thought on Bill Cipher. . .
(*Please note that I have not actually had the chance to read the Book of Bill, so any and all references are based on what I've pieced together from youtube videos and fandom pages*)
As an artist who's favorite pass time/hobby/job is doing character design/making characters/world building/etc., I can't help but wonder if the cracks Bill Cipher seems to have developed in the Book of Bill are more than meets the eye. . .
Obviously, the cracks could be directly tied to the fact that he was freaking OBLITERATED in Stanley's mind at the end of Season 2, nearly destroying everyone's favorite gruncle in the process.
However, in the Book of Bill, Bill Cipher's last note hit me with something.
He says, "I'm fine, I'm fine" and then upside down "Help me."
We also learn in the Book of Bill that the triangle demon has a pretty tragic backstory. He lost everything he (may have) ever cared about. Friends, family, a home. . . Sure, he was subject to bullying, but still. That was his world.
And to make matters worse, there's a high change that he was the cause of so much carnage and destruction, probably something he did subconsciously, and definitely not a choice I'm lead to believe he would willingly make at this point in his life.
It makes me believe that the cracks are much much more than battle scars from the series.
What if the stress of Weirdmageddon, along with resurfacing memories thanks to the Theraprism, is finally making him cave?
What if he is finally beginning to lose any shred of sanity he still had left?
What if the cracks, rather than completely caused by the events of the series, are instead also due to the fact that his mind is finally starting to crack??
Idk, just a theory I've had rolling around in my brain for a while, lol.
