The truth is, I’m afraid. I’m afraid of a lot of things. I’m afraid to get close to people. I’m afraid they will always leave just like everyone else has. I’m afraid of opening up. I’m afraid I’ll have done it all for nothing. I’m afraid of being used. I’m afraid of devoting myself to others. I’m afraid they will not devote themselves to me. I’m afraid they don’t want to know me, or accept me, or want to become close to me. I’m afraid of finding new friends. I’m afraid of making best friends. I’m afraid of finding love, not that I’ll never find it. They all get too close to me, too fast. They fall for me, too fast. They want me, too fast. But all the same, they also walk out, too fast. I want nothing more than to have someone’s world revolve around me, and I would willingly do the same even before they decide to do so. I want nothing more than a strong, conscious, real, loving, true connection. The truth is, I’m afraid. I’m afraid of who I have become.
