My opening salvo didn't go very well. I learned that he had the ability to not merely deflect, but reflect my spells with his shield. Even stronger, and made of golden energy.

I was getting experienced at fighting heavily armored knights. Hit and run tactics. Magic when I can, especially if I can catch them from behind. My speed and intelligence are my strengths. Never fight on their terms.

Truth be told, I probably could've done this a lot sooner. He was nowhere near as tough as the crucible knight, and only moderately tougher than the Night's Cavalry. I guess my early experiences running in terror from him had colored my perception of exactly how strong this knight was.

I noticed that unlike the Cavalry, the two seemed to be linked in some way. When I stabbed the horse, the knight would flinch and vice versa. Were they one organism, or some kind of soul link?

When he died, he left his halberd embedded in the earth. I couldn't wield it; I doubt anyone of merely human strength could ever wield it.

The voice wasn't very informative. The only thing it said that I couldn't have determined already was that the Tree Sentinels were an entire order. Guess I might have to deal with more of them later.

Felt good to get this one off my list. I only have two things left do do in Lower Limgrave now.

Are the horse and rider one organism, or just soul-linked?

What power made them so large and strong?
