Long life friendships are hard to come by.

By nature people drift, life changes, different paths are taken. It’s just what happens.

But when you’re lucky enough to find these connections, that last, really hold on to them. Treasure these people.

Appreciate your friends who’ve become more than friends, who’ve become family, sisters, and brothers.

Appreciate the friendships that have seen you at your best and been with you at your worst.

That hold your hand when you needed support.

That hold your hair back when you had one to many.

That celebrate both silly and serious accomplishments.

That have you stay over when you shouldn’t be alone.

That make you laugh so hard you aren’t even laughing just hardly breathing.

That hold you when you’re crying and promise that this is temporary and life gets better.

That are honest with you.

That drive around aimlessly together when there’s nothing to do.

That treat you to lunch and you treat them.

That go to get ice cream with you even when they don’t want it.

That pick you up from the airport, the train station, or the bar.

That call and ask how you are.

That you can tell absolutely anything to and don’t fear judgment.

That don’t care if you’ve talked about it for the 10th time because it’s still on your mind.

That help you decide the most simple decisions; what to wear, eat, do tonight.

That motivate you to get up and do what you need to do.

That sing and dance with you because its good damn day.

That listen and understand. 

Long life friendships are hard to come by because not everyone cares. When you meet someone who interests you, you build a connection with them, a friendship grows and you feel a sense of care for that person. You value them. This doesn't happen with everyone you meet, it might only happy with few people in your lifetime and that's fine its how it is, people come and go. But these friends who you value and who value you to the fullest are true treasures to hold onto. Everyone needs a friend. Be kind and open because you never know if you'll meet an amazing new best friend!
