I went to the gym again, the second time this year/since surgery, and it was good fun.
I managaed 4 minutes on the cross-trainer, I know it doesn’t seem much, but last week I only managed 3 minutes, and was knackered afterwards, this time I was still tired, but as my general pace was slightly slower, I felt better for it.
I then did a few reps on the leg press, leg abduction and aduction, the shoulder press, upright rower, lateral pull down, and leg curler weight machines. I did 12 reps on each no weight/minimum weight, then 6 with a small weight, and 3 with the weight the next step up. I don’t want to push myself too hard with the weights, not yet, especially with my arms/shoulders, so I thought that this was good for me. ( Please tell me if I am wrong )
Then I did something I never thought I would do, ever. I used the treadmill.
I was on there for half an hour, doing varying walking speeds and inclines, I didn’t run on it, but I felt really good for it. I’ve always avoided treadmills, as I’ve always thought if I want to go for a walk or a run, I could just go outside. But this was fun, and I got to make my own random hills, set my own pace. So yeah, good workout. Very tired now though. Still need to do my various ‘30 day’ exercise challenges.
