            “ you always this ominous or am I jus’ unlucky ? ”   she doesn’t need a response to know her luck’s dwindling, if there was any in the first place.   brooding silence is something that comforts her, but this guy’s an unfamiliar presence and so naturally, she seeks information.  /  sc  /  @trcachcry

          AS  EVERYONE  HERE  KNOWS BY  NOW,  JOSEPH  HATES  HAVING  a  bodyguard.  He  often  slips  away  and  can  go  missing  for  days  before  anyone  finds  him,  and  almost  everyone  has  had  a  turn  trying  to  corral  him.  If  someone  shows  up  to  watch  him,  he  often  shuts  the  door  in  their  face.  This  is  what  makes  his  bond  with  Joshua  so  unnatural  in  the  eyes  of  the  faithful.            WHETHER  IT  BE  JOSHUA’S  PAIN—FROM  THE  PHYSICAL  STATE  OF  his  leg,  to  the  emotional  scarring  from  the  loss  of  his  wife,  to  the  lasting  effects  of  PTSD—or  his  eagerness  to  listen  to  Joseph’s  word  as  an  equal  rather  than  a  follower,  Joseph  has  found  he  prefers  Josh’s  company  over  that  of  the  heralds  at  times.  Where  he  evades  and  ignores  all  others  who  try  and  keep  him  safe,  Joseph  made  it  a  habit  to  keep  Joshua  at  his  side  as  much  as  possible  and  will  sometimes  make  excuses  as  to  why  it  has  to  be  him  who  ensures  the  safety  of  the  Father  on  any  given  day.

    03. makeshift camouflage; being extremely pale overall is no disadvantage, for ilona is capable of making use of the environment to turn herself practically invisible in minutes. 

The  position  stands  to  anchor  them  both  to  the  ground  instead  of  floating  off  in  a  cloud  of  grief  and  loss.  The  time  for  mourning  will  come  but  not  yet.  For  now  they  have  to  hold  it  together  to  finish,  whatever  it  is  they  will  choose  to  do.  His  entire  body  shakes  with  the  attempt  at  trying  to  remain  calm  which  shows  the  more  he  clings  to  Joshua.  What  is  he  supposed  to  do  without  his  family?  What  are  the  both  of  them  going  to  do?  “We’re  here....  we’re  together...”  Hands  slide  to  broad  shoulders  grasping  at  the  fabric  of  the  shirt  underneath  shaky  fingertips.  His  voice  chokes  out   The  gravity  of  everything  is  coming  down  on  him  like  a  ton  of  bricks  and  he  feels  like  he  can’t  breath.  “Oh.... god...”
