Trans joy is sacred in part because it arises out of trans suffering, trans loneliness, fear, pain. Trans is transformational in multiple dimensions. 🌌🕸 Euphoria emerges out of, and thus reveals clearly, dysphoria. The lotus of trans truth blooms out of the mud of cis binary gender essentialism, to play with the classic metaphor… Sometimes it feels like the more I have these tastes of being gender affirmed, the less tolerable non-affirming space become. This feels like a tenuous conundrum. Sometimes faith is a set of wings, sometimes a path in the dark, stumbling feet trying to feel where is the way forward. . . As we enter #transweekofvisibility and #transweekofaction amidst a dense field of legislative and cultural bs, I offer this spiritual reflection. Something tender, loving. . . I created this carousel flying home from the Costa Rica QT Retreat, which was the 1st times I had been in such a beautifully affirming community space for an uninterrupted extended period of time. It was… life changing. Now back home, riding some dark waves. They come and go, too. None of this is simple or easy. I’m here for it though. Really truly. . . I am deeply nourished by the glimpses, conversations, connections, moments of increasing overlaps of yoga and trans ness.
