|| Messed up my wrist in the car accident and totally hurt it doing this, but it was worth it. I wanted to do sketches of the main cast as they are in my main fanfiction I’m working on with little blips about them and what’s happened over the last 4 years, so I’m starting with Tails. Just had to break out the Copics and inks instead of fixing things Digitally because my wrist just can’t take that. ||

Bio: From a very young age, Tails never really fit in with the other kids. Formerly Millie, they teased her for not fitting into the female gender mold, for being too smart, and obviously for having two tails instead of one. She was far more interested in mechanics, vehicles, and machines than she was with things associated with femininity. After the bullying was pushed too far, she ran away into the forest to try and get away from all of the pain she was feeling.
That was when she met Sonic. The fox, 8 at the time, followed the blue hedgehog until she found his plane on the beach. When they spoke for the first time, Sonic mistook Millie for a male. Just being referred to as male was enough to make everything finally click into place for Millie, who then took on the name Miles. Suddenly, he felt so much more authentic to himself. He wasn’t just a “tomboy” or a weird girl who didn’t fit in. He was a he.
Over the years, Sonic became so much more than a friend to Tails. He became a role model and a big brother figure. As time passed, Tails worried about what would happen if Sonic ever found out. That time soon came when the fox’s body hit puberty. His body dysphoria grew stronger along with his anxiety and fear. During his time of the month, he would hide in his workshop and refuse to come out.
Sonic soon grew confused and worried. Against Tails’s wishes, he broke into the fox’s workshop to find poor Tails curled up in the bathroom in pain and unhappy. Once his secret was out, Sonic did his best to understand. He promised Tails that he wouldn’t tell any of the others and went out of his way to try and make Tails comfortable any way possible.
The hedgehog gave his little brother a paid of overalls to wear so that he could easily hide his still female body’s “monthly problem” easier. Doing research for perhaps the first time in his life, Sonic soon discovered the magic of “binders” and brought one for Tails to wear under his overalls. For all any of the others knew, he was simply wearing a shirt.
Both of these things, as well as Sonic’s continued kindness helped Tails to once again open up and feel better about himself.
Alternate storylines:
Darkside of The Moon: After meeting Clover the rabbit, she soon becomes the second person to discover his secret. Being a partially turned vampire, she is able to smell the blood despite him hiding it. Once things click in her mind, Clover very quickly becomes very supportive in helping Tails further deal with his body dysphoria and becomes a sort of big-sister figure for him.
The Meta Saga: After Dr. Lazarus releases a zombie plague across the world, Tails and Eggman form a truce to try and put their brilliant minds together to combat the virus. Against his wishes, Eggman becomes the third person to find out about his secret. Instead of making fun of Tails or using the information against him, Eggman actually becomes a strange sort of grandfather figure as the two grow closer over the years of working together. Tails finds help in the most unlikely of places as the old man actively helps the fox properly transition in a way that Tails didn’t even realize was possible.
