transschizophrenia transition tips
transschizophrenia transition tips
From a person with schizophrenia
I wanna start this by sayin I don't ever encourage hurtin others in yer pursuit of transitioning, so please be responsible. Won't be usin my usual cadence fer this fer accessibility. Onto the tips
Can you do a tip on Trans-Schizophrenic, Iโm only getting the basic stuff from google and need some more research to help me!
Itโd be AMAZING if you could, of course you donโt have to but itโd be appreciated if you could!
TransSchizophrenia Tips!:
Pretend to see things that aren't there! Glance in random directions occasionally with a confused/panicked expression, and then continue what you were doing like nothing happened. Try to avoid looking in that area for a bit as if you're "scared it might know you noticed".
Second guess everything around you. "Are those my real parents/siblings/friends?", "What if they were replaced by someone?", "They're working against me/using me for something.", "they know something I don't.", "the people on the TV are laughing at me.", "the people outside talk about me when they get home.", etc...
Speak without much structure! Move from one thought to the next without smoothly transitioning, ramble about theories you have or other random "nonsensical" things! They need to know you know the truth. Speak "illogically" about things.
Do "strange" actions. Random motor movements that are repetitive (like tapping your thumbs or fingers in a very specific order), or speak without moving your body at all, or the inverse! Do tasks silently, don't speak at all and don't look at anyone when doing things.
Don't show emotion when conversing as much. Make blank, emotionless, intense eye contact. Or, don't make eye contact at all. Speak with irregular tones, or with no tone at all. Try to sound stiff during conversation, like a robot.
Try to convince yourself out of doing tasks. CisSchizophrenics have low motivation to start or continue tasks (even simple ones!). Even ones they originally wanted to do.
Convince yourself that everyone you interact with doesn't actually enjoy your presence. Make social interactions as miserable as you can in your own mind. Make it unbearable to interact with people, to make you avoid them.
Try to get distracted when doing things. Lose focus randomly through dissociation, staring off at something, or getting in your own head about things (delusions, theories about things, etc...).
Forget things commonly or twist how things happened in your head. "That isn't how it actually happened.", "they were glaring at me", etc.. Also, try to take longer to respond or answer things. Think longer than most people would, try to predict every outcome of how they'll respond to things you say.
Overthink decisions, double check yourself every time you want to make a choice on something. Buying groceries? "What if the power goes out?", "What if we run out of [X]?", "What if something happens?", etc... Making food? "What if they poisoned this?", "This could cause me to have a heart attack/choke/drown/liver failure/something else", "What if I'm allergic to this and I don't know it yet?", etc...
When told directions/how to do something/instructions/ or any information. Try to second guess the information, or use it incorrectly. Directions? "What if I'm being led somewhere I shouldn't go?". How to do something? "This is too dangerous/risky (even if its mild)"
Remember, all of these symptoms are irregular in how intense/common they are. Don't do ALL of them if you aren't trying to simulate EXTREMELY debilitating schizophrenia. Select a few of em and go with that, letting others emerge as consequences of the original few. Sometimes, symptoms can be intense one day/hour/minute, and subtle the next. Sometimes, some symptoms aren't there at all for a day.

TRANSSCHIZOSPEC TIPS ๐ฆน
i am also transschizospec!!
i will separate this into categories: delusions, hallucinations, behaviors, emotions, and thinking
keep in mind these are all just symptoms and not every schizospec person experiences them all!! most probably dont experience all of them!!
delusions:
- a delusions is simply a fixed belief that doesnt change despite contradicting evidence. let your imagination run wild and then just gaslight yourself. eventually youll believe it.
- if you need more guidance, some common delusions are grandiose delusions (which i experienced), paranoid, erotomaniac (parasocial), somatic, and many more you can google.
- paranoia is very very common!! incorporate it!!
- look at the โhow the delulu girlsโ trend on tiktok!!
- whether or not you choose to talk to people about your delusion is up to you
hallucinations:
- honestly, make them up to gaslight yourself and/or manifest them
- draw whatever comes to mind and tell yourself its your hallucinations
- get sleep deprived!!
-watch things that make you anxious!!
- listen for small background noises and tell yourself its a hallucination
behaviors:
- periods of catatonia!! catatonia is a state where someone is awake but not responding to other people or maybe their environment. it may occur in the form of repetitive odd gestures, holding strange positions, mimicking others, or not moving at all. not every schizospec person experiences catatonia!!!!
- disorganized speech!! this is pretty much just word salads but with whatever and also with some garbled speech so ill make an example of this one no thank you i dont have the free time for that but yournrnnn you cna ask ted..if you wnt because hes to contamnnated to do that (but do that while talking)
- do repetitive movements and do things in patterns
- be impulsive
- schizophrenics tend to socially isolate
- be disorganized!! wear mismatch clothes (thats a thing with schizophrenics), have a messy room, etc.
emotions:
- apathy is common among schizophrenics and interestingly enough, so are heightened emotions!! sometimes just not react to things and SOMETIMES REALLY REACT!!
- anxiety is also very common
- paranoia!! what if everyone can read your mind? what if they know youre a terrible person? there are people watching you. where are they?
- inappropriate emotional responses!! such as laughing when something bad happens or crying over something really small. this ties in with heightened emotions.
thinking:
- disorganized thoughts!! this is pretty much just word salads but with whatever and also with some garbled speech so ill make an example of this one no thank you i dont have the free time for that but yournrnnn you cna ask ted..if you wnt because hes to contamnnated to do that (but do that while talking)
- memory issues!!
- inability to process social cues!! that means not getting the hint when someone is talking to you or not getting the hint someone needs to be comforted, for example.
- attention deficit!! struggle to focus on things and zone out a lot
trisschizoaffective is sooo fun ... i love my transschizospec friends n' i love being trisschizoaff and i love seeing people who are wanting 2 transition .. i want mine 2 be more severe personally n i appreciate everybun who makes tips on it ,,, yayayay!!
