i can’t bring myself to watch the trans barista video going around. whether it’s “valid” or “cringey” doesn’t matter, it never matters. we can’t do anything or be any type of way without it being used to justify transphobia. if we cry, we are weak, pathetic crybabies who can’t handle the real world. if we get angry, we are crazy people forcing everyone to bend to our will. if we are happy, we are indoctrinating children to become trans to be cool. if we are silent, we are ignored and treated like we don’t exist. there is no winning.
