Trans*H4ck - Changing the view on programming
Trans*H4ck is a company that was launched in response to some of the in-equality situations that have a rising for members of the trans, gender non conforming, non binary and agender people live. This is done through various apps, or applications that trans gendered innovators and entrepreneurs have developed.
Trans*H4ck give these innovators and entrepreneurs a platform on which they can show their skills, and business mindset to help combat issues like an unemployment rate that is twice the national rate and up to four time for people of color who are transgender.
Some of the applications that have been developed through Trans*H4ck are :
The LOFT - While this is not an application, this is a tool where people are able to take virtual code development workshops, share, collaborate and share the technology created by the gender non conforming and trans community.
Who Did I Miss - is an app that is essentially a form site that contacts conference organizers to encourage and recommend diverse speakers.
GenderOverFlow - a question and answer sharing site for everything trans
These apps are just the tip of the iceberg for Trans*H4ck as they continue to strive and help provide not just a safe and positive learning environment, but also promote attention to services for trans people in need (read as: incarcerated, homeless and unable to escape the sex trade), increase safety of gender, and supporting the well being of the community.
