So I think itâs kinda obvious that Cybertronians would feel an inclination to take care of us because compared to them we are so so small and fragile, but I donât think the fanbase talks enough about how we would take care of them.
Itâs covered a lot more on screen than in fan works I think (The primary plot of Bumblebee is literally Charlie looking after him and I think thatâs part of why itâs the best of the movies) but I want it to have more presence in fan works.
Weâre honestly kinda perfectly built to administer repairs and such since weâre so much smaller, and if everyone learnt at least the basics of car maintenance then theoretically we would all be able to perform at least basic first aid on transformers. A number of trades could double as doctors for Cybertronians.
Aside from that, itâs kinda just part of human nature to look after others. As nervous as some would be to have an organic creature poking around their internal components, they couldnât deny weâd be incredibly efficient medics.
Initially, Ratchet wouldnât let you anywhere near the medbay, but when he sees how quickly you can fix up your car, and without needing to take it apart to reach the hidden parts, you become an irreplaceable asset. Injuries that wouldâve previously required invasive surgeries now suddenly have much faster heal times as well as better success, because youâre small enough to get to places a transformerâs hands canât reach without moving stuff out of the way.
Humans would also become respected field medics as a result, with how quickly and easily we can administer repairs. Maybe perhaps too effective, as Iâm sure this efficiency just might allow some of the more soft hearted individuals to extend their help beyond just the AutobotsâŚ
Medical aspects aside, thereâs also aesthetic maintenance. I can see it quickly becoming a very deep bonding activity for a human to wash, paint, or buff their closest bot friends. It would quickly become like a badge of honor, many bots flaunting how their humans trust them and care about them enough to look after them in such ways. Perhaps some arguments break out over whoâs human is the better painter.
There would of course be those who are too shy or donât care to talk about it, but youâd notice them standing a little taller still.
Even for some Decepticonsâthe ones who wouldnât just outright squish peopleâitâs a cherished gesture. Theyâve caused so much damage, and still this fragile little organic cares enough to buff out their scratches. This little organic, who by all means should hate them, cares enough to repair them and make them look nice.
This is where some cons may or may not start caring for some humans. Unconfirmed.
Ultimately, for as much as theyâd look after us, they love to be looked after as well.
