Any jily fic recs? I especially love pre-dating ones! I feel like I've read everything and need to find some hidden gems.
Alright, I get a lot of these soooo, here we go.
Firstly, my own fics because Iām trash:
Dating James Potter: This one is about them becoming friends ad then more than friends. Itās a completed multi-fic that Iām pretty proud of.
A Matter of Breathing: This one is an all dialogue fic that just adorable and itās pre-jily until the end. Itās a one-shot.
Doctor Who, Chess and Bad Wedding Food: This is a one-shot as well, but itās quite long (9k words). Itās about James showing up at Lilyās house in the middle of the summer and the two of them trying to work out how to be friends. I wrote it a while ago, but I still like this one too. Weāve got snarky Lily and awkward James so, itās pretty great.
But then thereās so much more greatness out there too!
Like just today, I read Early Seventh Year, Part 1. Itās got no part 2 that I can find, but itās really great if you like ust jily, and really, who doesnāt? Itās amazing.

Languages--8, 9 and 12!
8. Your favorite word in your second language. Okay so this is super silly, but when I was studying German in high school, my class just got a big kick out of the phrase āgleich um die Eckeā which means āright around the corner.ā Literally every sentence ended in āgleich um die Ecke!ā and my teacher was just annoyed, so I guess the word āEckeā has a lot of fond memories. Either that or āBackpfeifengesichtā which basically translates to āa face in sore need of a fist.ā Which I think is quite useful.
9. Your favorite word in a language you donāt really speak. I absolutely love the untranslatable words, and I would usually say āFernwehā (homesickness for somewhere you haven't been) but thatās in German, so Iāll have to go with the Japanese āKomorebiā which describes light shining through a tree or a forest. :)
12. If you could pick one language to learn automatically without having to work for it, which language would you choose? Iād probably choose German so I can be 100% fluent, but if I had to pick another, I might do Irish because I love it or French so I could visit my cousins in Alsace.

Blahhh thank you but it'll suck. It's only an eight minute presentation and pretty much everyone else going today is in the same boat as me (aka no friggin clue what this man wants) so we're all kinda feeling the failure together. It's nice because we've all bonded over having no idea what to do with this professor.
