You've mentioned in a few tags spending a bunch of time looking up episodes for specific moments which makes me wonder if you don't know about the transcript search? It is one of my favorite things! Whenever someone references a moment that I want to rewatch I go to the CR linkable transcript search to find it!
(Link to the wonderful very powerful CR transcript search!!!)
Okay. Okay so listen, first of all, this is a very kind ask and I appreciate it. You are 100% correct. Its also a callout ask for me, specifically, because. TECHNICALLY I DO know about the transcript search, and its an excellent tool, and every time I see a post about it I go "oh man thats so cool! thats so helpful!" because it IS.
Unfortunately I also have a small gremlin in my brain that immediately discards this information every time I'm struck with the urge to find a specific moment. Or I do remember it exists but said gremlin goes "no its FINE we dont need to open a new tab for this lets just-" *shoves a deeply convoluted youtube/tumblr fuzzing search into my hands*. I save myself zero time, I am consistently reinventing the wheel, etc.
Anyway so I'm going to link the transcript search here AGAIN, and then tag the hell out of this in hopes that next time I need to use it I actually will. Fingers crossed. But yes! Transcript search is very good, thank you very much for reminding me of it :'D
sometimes the useful transcript is just a txt file
i keep running into the same tiny transcript handoff:getting the transcript is only half the job.sometimes i do not need subtitle timing.sometimes i do not need a fancy editor.sometimes i just need the words in a plain txt file so they can leave the video page.that is the narrow path behind AI YouTube Transcript.paste the youtube link.open the available transcript.check the text.download the txt.use it somewhere else.notes.quotes.outlines.cleanup.drafting.the limit is still real: TXT availability depends on subtitle or caption tracks exposed by the source video.but when the transcript track is there, the useful thing is the handoff.https://aiyoutubetranscript.com/
i wanted the sentence, not the whole rewatch
i keep running into the same tiny youtube annoyance:i do not want the whole video again.i want the sentence.the part i can search.the timestamp i can jump back to once.the text i can copy into notes.the export when the next step needs a real file.that is basically the shape behind AI YouTube Transcript.paste link.open transcript.find the line.move on.if the video does not expose a usable caption track, there may be nothing to load. but when the track exists, this is the workflow i want.https://aiyoutubetranscript.com/

Arrow Transcripts
Anybody know where I can find transcripts of the first 9 Arrow episodes? I've been doing a lot of work for a couple stories I'm writing, but it is getting really annoying having to re-watch certain scenes that are essential to the story but cause me no end of heartache and pain...yeah, suck it up buttercup, I know...but really, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
