he lights up rooms. it’s a skill you wished you possessed; all eyes go to you but not for good reason.

brown eyes like dead grass after three feet of snow in one day - a promise that the things that block you in, that make you numb, will go away and spring will come.

his lightning smile, his morning-dew hands. you don’t think about it, don’t let yourself see that it’s for you - that the room doesn’t light up until he catches your eyes.

(disclaimer i don’t know much about skincare or that sort of thing and i’ve never actually been inside a lush store so this might not be 100% accurate)

lardo’s a regular so she’s become tight with bitty, and usually goes when she knows he’ll be on shift bc she likes talking to him and they’re kind of friends, but they don’t really see each other outside the store? anyways jack tags along one day and they walk in and lardo heads straight for this tiny blond guy in the back who immediately smiles really big when he sees her, and it lights up his whole face, and the first thing jack thinks is shit he’s cute

also here’s a bunch of bitty & lardo stuff that no one asked for: lardo just starts ranting as soon as she finds bitty, and jack is thinking um okay is this okay but the blond guy, eric, according to his name tag, just rolls with it, and they’re slowly making their way around the store talking and lardo’s talking about her current project and bitty’s throwing in some suggestions and handing her new things to look at? so they’re kind of doing two things at once but it’s such a good system jack can tell they’ve done it before? and he doesn’t ask he just watches bitty talk 

then lardo goes to do stuff on her own or something and it’s just jack and bitty and jack is just ???????? but bitty looks him up and down and then takes him around the store and shows him things and jack only retains haf of what he’s saying, partly bc he’s too busy staring and partly bc he doesn’t know what most of it means?? like jack buys $5 shampoo at stop n shop so most of what bitty says goes straight over his head (“but my hairs fine” “but it could be soft and shiny” “it…is…soft and shiny?? it’s soft?” “do you want it to be softer and shinier?”) and jack walks out with new shampoo and conditioner and body lotion and face lotion and this confused look on his face that makes lardo laugh for like 5 min (“i didn’t think you’d ever been in a lush store” “yeah” “never?” “yeah” “oh i didn’t know you needed shampoo” “i…dont?” “do you know what any of that stuff is for?” “…no” “jack what” “i’m not really sure how this happened”

and then next time lardo goes jack goes with her again, and she sees him talk to bitty while she pays for stuff and she starts to catch on and she starts inviting bitty out to things outside of the store and he starts coming by the haus and baking things and telling all these hockey bros how to make their hair feel soft and smell nice and its great (and jack is just soft smiling at bitty from the table)

1: sexuality headcanonoh boy. well we all know in the comic he identifies as gay and i think i’ll probably stick with that idea so instead i’ll do a gender headcanon that he’s a trans boy and i will physically fight someone over this

3: brotpi really REALLY love shitty and bitty’s relationship. they’re so different but they get along so well ( a lot like shitty and jack’s friendship and it’s so positive and affirmative and i’m dyin’ scoob)

5: first headcanon that pops into my headwhen people ask if he’s a cat person or a dog person he gets legitimately stressed out because he can’t just favor one over the other, that’s completely unfair, lord who would even want to pick one over the other

7: one way in which I relate to this characteri think i just deal with a lot of.. internalized things and self-esteem and all that fun stuff that everyone loves and i think the way that bitty views himself (and how he hopefully has begun to view himself more highly) resonates a lot with me? i dunno i think there’s just a lot that i identify with that he goes through and i’m kind of fiercely protective of that 

along with that i, too, am gay for jack8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this characterthe fact that he thinks jack is straight(LMAO) and how i have also been in that same exact situation with other people before, probably

11. wardrobe headcanon

jack zimmerman. bless his soul. he’s a firm believer of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” but buddy when those jeans are six years old and the bottoms are in absolute shreds they are beyond broke. he tends to stick to samwell hockey shirts and sweatshirts or shirts from obscure bands (directs u to “dresses like he’s going to rob a burger king” tweets)
