That was fine, Skye thought to herself. She expected to remain on the space pirate vessel for a good time to come...she would learn what was necessary. Such as all the damned walkways and where they were going! The Arcadia could be such a maze; much of the ship looked so similar: dark, foreboding...as if spirits or voices could be heard just down the hallway at the end of the corridor you were in; the ship had a habit of making her think twice and make the occasional shiver prickle her shoulders.
It was best not to let it get to her! She was trying to get to the ship's mess after all when she passed a particular small niche away from the main corridor; it was similar to that of where a storage space or utility access would be. A door was open and a long stream of light streaked against the floor; that was how Skye noticed it in the first place. All her previous thoughts drifted away as this new curiosity came in sight, her feet leading her towards that very door that remained open.
Skye flexed her hands, feeling the pull and strain of the new leather gloves she had been given. Her fingers touched the door frame and she leaned in closer for a look inside, as quiet as she could be.
The first she saw was nothing interesting besides a shelf or two with some boxes and supplies with a familiar 'bio source' code on them, then--wait! A shadow shifted; someone had to be inside which snapped her eyes to the source, and that's when she saw him.
It was a young man: brown hair, moderately tall...it had to be Yama, she couldn't be mistaken; she found herself frozen in place as she saw him, back towards her. For the moment he seemed unperturbed by her arrival, then again he might've not noticed she was even there yet. He appeared very much in his element as the smallish makeshift greenhouse spread before him with numerous containers filled with growing flora. Her eyes widened a bit at the scene, considering she had never been in such a room before; Skye wasn't aware the Arcadia even had such an assemblage.
The idea of leaving crossed her mind. There was no need to disturb his work, right? The woman took a step back and that's when her elbow decided to whack itself into the nearby storage shelf, the boxes upon them jiggling from her disruption. Any sense of care or trepidation on her part was lost.
Ow! Skye winced hard and bit back a groan; right in the funny bone. Damn it!
