Another little detail - the front-face of the Supreme Court of Queensland (shown in earlier post) is largely made out of glass, to reflect the concept of transparency in the legal system. There is also a wall of eyes which look directly at the Judges' offices (not shown in earlier post), to reflect transparency, and accountability in legal decision-making processes.
This is very ironic, as the building is also largely constructed with concrete, a famously opaque, non-transparent building material.
It's also worth noting that the wall of eyes can only be found near the predominantly glass front-face, looking towards the Judges' offices, which is reflective of the legal system only allowing observation of certain aspects of legal processes.
Beautiful display of architectural decisions, however none of the concepts reflected in the architecture are effectively practiced in reality, so the design choices are as meaningful as a cardboard box that has been glazed in horse semen in order to replicate a gingerbread house.
Roma Street Station, however, can not be faulted for it's architecture.
(except for the pedestrian underpass through the station, the ceiling could be higher to further preserve customer bearing, but i'm not a station layout planner, sooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
