Crazy, Stupid, Gump
He went to the doctor with his mom
and got the fateful news
He was unlike all the other kids
and had to wear special shoes
These shoes were metal with a brace
that helped correct his spine.
The kids at school did not hold back
They would not let him shine
But, there was one girl named Jenny
who he met on the bus.
She may have been more smart than him
but she never caused a fuss
Through the years, she stood by his side
and had a lot of fun
Until some bullies chased him down
She said that he should run
After school they both parted ways
and tried to stay in touch.
He lived a full life, she did not
but he loved her very much
He knew he was not a smart man
but she promised to be his
When times got tough, she doubted him.
He said, “I know what love is.”
After a night of love and fun
She left for a few years
He then soon learned that she was sick
and could not hold back his tears
She invited him to visit her
and meet his long lost son
He cried with joy, but then with grief
When he learned that she was gone.
