I'm just putting this out there because I'm the type of person who would get worried if my favourite disabled blogger would suddenly fall off the face of the earth for no apparent reason, and my stupid brain is way too good at coming up with horror-scenarios.

So anyway, this is what happened, Katten is working on figuring out where things went wrong and getting the guys over at Tumblr to fix the whole mess, so chances are, Compassionate Reminders will be back. At least, we hope, it will.

So I’m finding that this is a really hard question to answer. I’ve always been on the receiving end of someone who is draining - I don’t think that I’ve ever really been the “drain-ee” so to speak.

I think a big factor is about toxic and negative behaviors. While there is energy work underlying it, our energy and our emotions are intricately connected. And in my experience, toxicity and negativity seem to “take.” So I would spend some time analyzing your emotions and behaviors - what toxic traits you have (we all have them) that are affecting others.

Temple wanted to pitch in here as well: “hmm... it’s about the flow of energy... it’s counter-intuitive, in a way... you need to think about both where your energy is going, as well as what energy is coming to you. Think about it as like a balance. If you are receiving astronomically more than you are giving, you are most-likely taking it from people without giving anything in return.”

And I did.

I went through a lot of different hells on my own, without having a single adult I would trust with my feelings, and of course there are many reasons for this, but one of it was the fact that I've been taught not to complain if something was hurting me.

And you know what? Fuck that.

As a traumatised adult, I would like to tell y'all who are out there suffering right now, DO COMPLAIN! DO SUFFER LOUDLY! LET THE WORLD KNOW WHAT'S AILING YOU AND LET THE PEOPLE WHO CAN HELP YOU! There is no virtue in bearing your cross in silence, there is no value in not bothering someone else's status quo just so your suffering doesn't inconvenience them, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise!
