Viktor smirked, a bit of saltuna brine suddenly spitting out of the corner of his mouth. He used the back of his shirt to wipe off the corner of his mouth, that grin still plastered on his lips. Nykoa’s boisterous laugh interrupted whatever joke Felix was telling, and Viktor was one again rejoining the conversation. It was rare that such boisterous revelry was had; rare did everyone want to join the same room drinking away their thoughts, but tonight? Tonight was different.

Parvati sat down heavily next to Max, and without a care, leant against his arm. It wasn’t any form of hug, or affection, really, just a moment of real connection.
