Growing up with Autism
So today I want to come out and talk about autism and my view on what it really is. Like, Shine a spotlight on this because really people who have it are embarrassed to talk about it, but once you change how you look at it so will the world.
This paragraph is from a description I wrote for my video which talks about how Autism works in the mind for those who don’t have or don’t understand it.
“I want to say that Autism isn’t just a simple learning difficulty and that it is something you should be more involved in and concern about even if you adapt with it. I would like to say that it is much serious then just a learning difficulty and I’d go as far to even say that it’s a brain damage and like all brain damage treatments, it needs time, practice and attention and therapy to recover from, and by putting a autistic person through school rather then giving them the right care and therapy to recover first can have very negative mental, emotional and social effects on that individual’s growth with autism until when or if it heals.
it’s not just a learning disorder. You, right now, can take a extra step in helping someone who struggles with it by understanding what it is. It sometimes doesn’t show on the outside, but it’s real on the inside rather you notice it, acknowledge it or accept it, it’s effecting you more seriously then you think even if you think there’s nothing wrong.
A lot of times what a autistic person learns while having autism is misconceived, particular understood, or mixed up. Sometimes you have to go back and relearn what was once mixed up to you once the damaging mental effects of autism is gone, and then it will finally click and make sense.
In this video, I talk about how the process of information is converted and distraught in the processing regions in which the damages are in the brain. It effects Social, Physical, verbal, Mental and emotional processes and even makes mocking and processing simple motor functions a frustrating challenge for some with autism depending on the level.
This video is for educational purposes and I am not a professional teacher, Mentor, Therapist or psychologist and that these are very in-depth educated guesses base off of my experience and struggles with my own autism and I am entitled to my own opinions.
if anything else I would like to say that autism is “Dyslexia” but it doesn’t just effect reading and writing in that way, but everything that way.. socializing, understanding, comprehension, math, everything is received normally, but nothing is processed normally, therefore the outcome of putting that understanding of whatever it is you’re being taught comes out much more different then what you’d thought.
Don’t hate yourself, don’t judge yourself, don’t give up. you just need the right help and the right time.“
